Job Description Summary
The Grid System Integration (GSI) team delivers a wide range of high voltage transmission projects, using both AC and DC technologies. HVDC Product Delivery Group (PDG) is part of GSI mainly responsible for engineering Design and is looking for a RAM Project Engineer to join our global team of experts in high voltage electrical equipment, with a particular focus on HVDC systems.
As a RAM Engineer, you will be responsible for coordinating, creating, verifying, and validating the reliability, availability, and maintainability records for HVDC systems and subsystems, managing risks and opportunities that affect the systems throughout the RAM phase of project lifecycle. You will also play a key role in enforcing engineering discipline and quality processes specially RAM process during ITO as well as close-out phase of project, developing and industrializing engineering solutions, promoting health and safety practices, and providing technical guidance with respect to RAM considering CIGRE/IEC/IEEE protocols and training to customers and colleagues.

Job Description
Reliability, Availability and Maintainability Process development & managing RAM data during close-out phase (RAMS):
• RAM Process, principals, and governance:
- Leading the RAM topic for the HVDC PDG, liaising with key stakeholders on the topic
- Enforcing RAM processes and governance processes.
- Monitoring the performance of RAM KPIs during project close-out phase
- Regular risk assessment & prediction of RAM performance backed up with detailed data and analysis.
- Defining organisational position with regards to RAM exposure considering contractual performance parameters backed-up by in-depth RAM events analysis.
- Strongly applying the contractual obligations to the RAM assessment whilst minimising RAM exposure to GE Vernova
- Providing key insights by analyzing RAM records with respect to organizational position & potential risk exposure.
- Co-ordinating with Project Engineering Managers (PEMs) to record detailed assessment of RAM related incidents.
- Review RAM data with project management teams in regions and customers as per standard RAM governance process.
- Contribute to RAM proposal during Tender Phase by reviewing customer RAM requirements.
RAM Analysis:
- Analyzing RAM events & their assessment as per CIGRE guidelines
- Streamlining RAM data input and flow between internal & external stakeholders (Developing semi/ fully automated RAMS Dashboard)
Lean and Continuous Improvement:
- Providing insights to ITO (Tender Phase) projects while developing RAM proposal using ROE from closeout projects RAMS
- Provide insights and recommendations for product improvements based on failure data.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement changes to enhance reliability and maintainability.
- Stay updated with industry trends and best practices in RAM engineering.
Reliability Engineering:
- Conduct reliability analysis and modeling to predict product performance.
- Identify potential reliability risks and support in the development mitigation strategies.
- Collaborate with design teams to incorporate reliability engineering principles in product development.
Availability Analysis:
- Analyse systems to determine availability metrics and identify improvement opportunities.
- Develop and implement strategies to enhance system uptime and operational efficiency.
- Monitor and report on system availability and performance metrics.
Health and Safety
Actively and routinely promote the identification of hazards and EHS risks in own area of operation and objects of design. Provide insight to customers and colleagues with respect to own safety and systems and product integrity.
Qualifications / Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent (Mechanical, Electrical, or related field).
- Proven substantial knowledge and practical experience in performing Reliability & Availability assessment in electrical field preferably HVDC.
- Minimum of 8+ years of experience in reliability engineering or a related field.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in reliability analysis tools and software.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of industry standards
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with predictive maintenance technologies.
- Certification in reliability engineering (e.g., CRE).
- Familiarity with Six Sigma or Lean methodologies.
