Here you will participate in enabling the energy transition, creating value for our customers to integrate more and more renewable energy into the grid through solutions that cover inter-regional interconnections, harnessing large offshore wind energy, and solutions that bring stability and reliability to the grid.
Role description:
As the Engineering Quality & Tools Manager Engineer, you will be responsible to drive quality compliance and tools development for the associated Engineering Community of GRID SYSTEMS INTEGRATION [GSI] Central Europe.
This will involve coordinating with the Engineering team to schedule and prepare the gate and technical reviews and Lessons Learned , to ensure correct implementation of processes and procedures as per our Engineering Management Hand Book, develop and monitor the CAPA (Corrective And Preventive Actions), perform Quality Audits including CMMI.
You will also be responsible for the deployment of tools and the setup of the onboarding.
Under the leadership of the Regional Operations Engineering Leader, your action will be essential to ensure that the Quality function is active and driving improvements within the business to secure a profitable & sustainable growth
Main responsibilities:
- Support and drive compliance with the Design and Technical reviews to ensure that the projects being developed are risk-adverse/managed
- Support business leaders to deploy and train staff on related procedures and work instructions
- Support the development of the Quality Culture on requirement management, Customer Complaint management, Non-conformity management and align with Global instructions
- Ensure quality deliverables along the Gate model projects execution.
- Work with team members to find creative solutions to address complex problems
- Perform and support internal quality audits. & CMMI
- Support and lead continuous improvement actions following RCA - root cause analysis, including 8D
- Ability to travel globally to support team. Around 15% across Berlin, Dresden, Salzbergen, and Stafford (UK)
Key requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in electrical or mechanical engineering
- +10 years of experience in Engineering - Quality roles
- Fluent in German and English
- Experience with CAPA (Corrective and Preventive Actions).
- Experience with EPC business
- Strong interpersonal and cross-functional leadership skills
- Desire to work on international environment and good understanding of a matrix organization
- Strong problem-solving, continuous improvement, lean with the ability to develop complex tasks
- Polished influencing/negotiating skills at all levels of the organization
