Job Description

As a QA engineer Lead, you will be responsible for overseeing the quality assurance process and leading the team to ensure the delivery of high-quality software products. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to define testing strategies, establish quality metrics, and implement best practices. Your role will involve coordinating testing activities, mentoring team members, and driving continuous improvement in testing methodologies, in addition to designing specific test plans, executing high-level test cases, and documenting testing results to ensure that our products meet customer requirements.

  • Leading the team in the development and execution of comprehensive test plans and test cases based on product requirements.
  • Defining and implementing quality assurance processes and standards to ensure software reliability and performance.
  • Executing automated tests to identify software defects and ensure product quality, e.g., load and performance testing of our products.
  • Collaborating with developers and stakeholders to understand product functionality and identify areas for improvement.
  • Documenting and tracking defects using issue tracking tools and verifying fixes in subsequent releases.
  • Participating in test planning and review meetings to provide insights and feedback on testing strategies.
  • Continuously improving testing methodologies and processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness, e.g., through test automation.
  • Providing expertise in quality engineering, test planning and testing methodology for a software product.
  • Producing test reports as part of the regular product release lifecycle.

Required qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in software quality assurance and testing.
  • Strong knowledge of testing methodologies, tools, and best practices, including automated testing frameworks.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a dynamic environment.
  • Experience in testing complex distributed systems and web applications.
  • Experience with issue-tracking, DevOps practices and agile product management systems.
  • Ability to write clear and concise test cases and documentation.

  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Familiarity with programming or scripting languages is a plus.
