Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Project Launch: In the initial phase of the project, you will be responsible for thoroughly reading, understanding, and analyzing the Project Contract, specifically in relation to Quality Assurance (QA) and Quality Control (QC) requirements. You will ensure that the project team is informed about these requirements by communicating them during function kick-off meetings, involving all stakeholders such as suppliers and internal teams. Additionally, you will define the project-specific processes and documentation needed to meet both contractual and customer requirements. By consolidating lessons learned from previous projects, you will take proactive steps to prevent potential issues in the future. Working closely with the Project Director, you will define a comprehensive strategy for Quality Assurance and risk identification, translating identified risks into actionable mitigation plans for the project functions. You will also prepare the Project Quality Plan and Inspection Test Plan (ITP), securing customer approval and ensuring communication to relevant functions for effective execution.
- Project Execution: your role will focus on ensuring compliance with project processes and tools, such as PGR, PMR, R&O, DR, NCR, and CoQ. You will coordinate and drive mitigation efforts to reduce project risks and prevent defects from occurring or escaping during execution. Another key responsibility is the preparation and coordination of quality inspections in alignment with the ITP, in collaboration with the customer and supply chain, to ensure adherence to quality and contract requirements. You will oversee the preparation and delivery of the project's databook, ensuring that all quality records are in compliance with customer requirements, submitted timely, and approved. Additionally, you will monitor project performance through key metrics, such as the Voice of the Customer (VoC) score, defect escape rates, and the cost of non-quality, and take necessary actions to improve results. You will lead the VoC process, ensuring periodic customer feedback is collected and addressed appropriately.
- Site Preparation: You will be responsible for adapting the project's best practices to ensure smooth execution. This includes supporting the Site Leader and Site Manager in preparing all necessary resources for successful site operations. You will assist in coordinating training programs, ensuring personnel qualifications are met, and ensuring that all relevant information is provided to the team. Your goal will be to ensure that the site is fully equipped and ready for efficient and high-quality execution.
- Site Execution: your responsibilities will include ensuring that all activities are carried out according to GE requirements, including the maintenance of valid documentation and adherence to the control plan. You will oversee the qualification of staff and the proper maintenance of tools, including calibration, parameter recording, and ensuring qualifications for specific tasks such as measurement, welding, and painting are met. Additionally, you will ensure that all quality records are accurately completed in accordance with the control plan and facilitate coordination with third parties and customers to ensure compliance. As part of your oversight, you will perform regular process audits at the site, which will include verifying the control and distribution of documents, testing and measurement devices, and the proper storage and preservation of materials. You will also assess critical processes like welding, painting, and material traceability, while ensuring that personnel qualifications for special processes are up to date. You will also be responsible for supporting the preparation of documentation to protect GE in the event of third-party claims. Furthermore, you will ensure that the process from Red Mark to As-Built documentation is executed thoroughly, ensuring all final documentation is accurate and complete.
