Job Description Summary

As a Project Manager in Grid Automation business, you will be responsible for planning and executing portfolio of projects starting from order transfer meeting to final acceptance certificate managing quality, cost and delivery of the entire execution process by ensuring on-time delivery according to contractual terms, high-level of customer satisfaction and controlling and improving gross margin and cash. The scope embraces solutions for protection and control, substation automation, MicroGrid and innovative applications for electrical utilities (transmission and distribution), wind farms, industrial sites and others.
Project Manager builds strategic relations with key customers ensuring smooth project execution and exploring business development opportunities.

Project Manager is reporting to Operations Manager

Job Description

Roles and responsibilities:

  • Management of project portfolio with destination in Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Iceland
  • To assume ownership of orders at order transfer meetings
  • Accountable for project planning and prioritization within portfolio, follow-up of project milestones
  • To ensure delivery of customer contracts in compliance with requirements (technical specification, scope and time of delivery) leading to full customer satisfaction and to ensure that business objectives of gross margin, revenue recognition, billing and cash are met.
  • To perform project reviews to share project progress and to support positive discussion among stakeholders seeking optimal actions
  • Risk and opportunities management seeking for opportunities for raising claims and improving gross margin
  • Coordination of project engineering team at all stages of project execution sharing the context and plans and keeping them accountable
  • To keep all aspects of quality, including technical solution, as the highest priority
  • Address customer requests on priority to ensure customer's satisfaction and confidence towards the organization
  • Ensure proper dialogue for resolution of disputes (related to delays, cancellations, changes in scope)
  • To provide reliable forecast for all main project KPIs (revenue, margin, billing, cash-in and cash-out, resources) and to maintain optimal project planning (including design, manufacturing phase, engineering, validation, FAT, commissioining)
  • Project closing: Accountable for the Handover with customer, closing of snags, last payments, bond recollection, handle of warranty issues, perform return on experience, closing of project and transfer to Service
  • To be a team player who collaborates successfully with commercial team, purchasing, finance, engineering and other departments

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor degree in Engineering, Manufacturing or Business
  • Proven experience in project management, engineering or manufacturing
  • Minimum 3 years of experience of project management in power industry
  • PMP certification or equivalent will be a plus
  • Solution-focused, positive approach
  • Languages: English - fluent, German - fluent
