Leading a group of employees in day-to-day manufacturing operations. Ensuring that they know what jobs and products they should be focused on, and in what priority order. Also to ensure that these team members are following GE MDS standard operating procedures and using current work instructions.

Essential Responsibilities
- Works with Production Management to set daily shop floor work plan; and make sure plan is executed per production scheduling priorities.
- SMT - follows all industry best practices for setup, make ready and running of SMT lines from board loaders through AOI units.
- Assembly - Verifies that equipment (assembly and testing) used in work cells meets established standards and/or customer order requirements.
- Inspects defined procedures for assembly & testing of all products and works with Test Engineering and Manufacturing Engineering on product or process improvements.
- Makes recommendations in getting material to cover customer order shortages via the Planning Group Responsible for maintaining daily KPI tracker boards.
- Recognizes and communicates to Management any build or test difficulties and/or product faults in a concise and timely manner.
- Gathers and distributes data regarding product yields and defects to both employees and leadership team.
- Provides back up for key MSO functions when required.
- Managing, coordinating, and supervising the training of employees in their area.
- Also providing training records and data for filing and skill matrix tracking.
- Providing clear instructions to group members and promptly answering any questions or concerns.
- Clearly outlining goals and ensuring group members understand what is expected of them.
- Ensuring EHS and PPE rules are always followed.
- Making recommendations for improvement of Quality, efficiency, and safety. Uphold GE Vernova corporate values and standards and lead by example.
- Tactfully deal with problems that come up during daily production and invoke the aid of leadership where necessary.
- Immediately escalate any serious issues.
- Ability to fill in in all jobs in your area when necessary due to absences or spikes in demand.
- Willingness to work overtime when required.
- Any other duties as assigned by leadership.

Required Qualifications
- High school diploma / GED
- Minimum of 6 years relevant work experience
Desired Characteristics
- Electromechanical experience
- Clear written and verbal communications skills
- Must be dependable, flexible, versatile, and conscientious.
- MS Office (Excel, word, Outlook, and Teams)
- Decent comprehension of all processes performed in work area.
- Must be able to use shop floor MRP system, SAP experience preferred.
- Demonstration of good leadership skills.
- Reasonable interpersonal and conflict resolution skills.
- Working knowledge of all job roles in work area.
- Ability to maintain professionalism under pressure.
- Excellent problem-solving skills.
- Must be able to visually observe details at close range.
- Must be able to operate hand tools and computers.
- Must be able to frequently move about inside the manufacturing area to access equipment, files, etc.
