Responsible for the daily operations of the plant to ensure reliability and consistency on the production line. Is responsible for implementing, coordinating and supervision continuous improvement actions in the unit with the activity and company policy guidelines in order to maximize the Quality/Cost and Delivery.
Job Description
Essential Responsibilities:
- Oversight and management of front-line manufacturing employees
- Responsible for meeting production schedules, standards, and profitability.
- Responsibility for daily and monthly production reports.
- Determines work procedures, prepares work schedules, and oversees workflow.
- Accomplishes manufacturing staff results by communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results; coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; initiating, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies, and procedures.
- Responsible for the cost-effective use of human resources in the production process. Including the cost-effective use of overtime.
- Ensure compliance with professional standards such as occupational health and safety and customer requirements.
- Ensures the flow of materials, parts, and assemblies between and within the department.
- Ensures that all shop problems are properly documented and corrected via EAR's, QCR's or some other process.
- Responsible for documenting processes for ISO9001 and ensuring that these processes are followed.

Qualifications/Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in business or a comparable discipline and a minimum of 4 years of industrial experience in a manufacturing environment (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 5 years of experience in Manufacturing)
- Minimum of 3 years of proven experience in a supervisory role
