Job Description Summary

The Production Manager demonstrates accountability on the operational objectives of the Amarillo Remanufacturing Shop. In this role, you will own & develop Production processes that meets Global Remanufacturing and North America Services Region needs.

Job Description

Essential Responsibilities

  • Own Remanufacturing Production Operations.
  • Own EHS & Operational KPIs, such as Efficiency, Operational productivity, Production schedule adherence, standard hours reduction roadmap and optimization
  • Drive for excellence in the areas of cost control, Environmental Health and Safety standards, LEAN and overall productivity
  • Own the tools purchase, control, inventory and calibration necessary for production operations
  • Manage the employee and contractors time keeping and tasks distribution, as per production plan.
  • Manage a team of around 50 team members, including production supervisors, cell leads and technicians.
  • Ensure Production operations compliance with ISO norms and company standards regarding Quality, environment and safety.
  • Own/update, hand over and control production work instructions and checklists for the different product lines.
  • Work cross functionally with Global NPI team, Global Materials Team and Global Quality teams to fulfill and produce the reman volume associated with the Amarillo shop.
  • Ensure compliance with all customers, internal and external and contract requirements, interface with Customers as needed regarding work in progress and technical aspects
  • Interface and manage projects as necessary with sourcing, materials, quality, and engineering teams
  • Maintain positive and constructive employee relations
  • Ability to travel as required

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Business Management from an accredited university or a HSED/GED and 8 years equivalent experience in Manufacturing/Production environment.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Manufacturing or Repair Operations Management, Project Management and Lean Manufacturing experience.

  • Lean and Six Sigma training and experience (Green Belt Certification)
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
  • Technical and commercial understanding of the Repair Services business
  • High energy and ability to energize others
  • Ability to work in a matrix organization
  • Prior leadership experience as Manufacturing Shop Operations Leader in a production or repairs facility.
