The Product Safety & TRS Engineer is responsible for Product Safety and Technical Compliance activities for the full lifecycle of steam turbine and generator products including new installations, upgrades, servicing solutions and operational support.
Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities
• Leads global engineering disciplines in projects to drive Product Safety and TRS engineering from inquiry to order execution and delivery.
- • Partners with Regions and other global functions for Product Safety proactive and reactive to address Product Safety concerns of units in operation.
• Performs safety and reliability analysis (e.g. HAZOP, ASR, FMEA, Risk Assessment, SIL Assessment)
• Applies and improves procedures and processes to ensure the safety/protection and integration of steam turbine products in agreement with internal, national and international standards.
• Ensures implementation of Product Safety and engineering processes across the organization, during design reviews, meetings with internal and external customers
• Performs engineering studies for customers supporting the operation and reliability of their installed base.
• Provide technical consultation/training and mentoring to the engineering disciplines to ensure safety and compliance project execution rigor.
• Drive technical alignment and harmonization with other organizations or external partners.
Required Qualifications
- • Bachelor of Science in a relevant technical field
• Minimum of 5 years' experience in systems design and safety engineering environment with design responsibility
• Safety and reliability engineering experience
• Broad knowledge of steam turbine equipment.
