Job Description Summary
The Product Manager is tasked with defining and executing the product strategy and roadmap. This involves developing new products and services related to Power Electronic Valves to meet the growing and integrated demands of target industries, covering all aspects of the product lifecycle, including design, sourcing, manufacturing, installation, operation, decommissioning and disposal. The Product Manager also formulates and implements offering and pricing principles with an appropriate go-to-market strategy and is responsible for achieving performance targets for optimization products and solutions.

- Coordinate with marketing/business development/commercial teams to address new market segments.
- Create strategies for Power Electronic valve solutions.
- Monitor competition and market offerings.
- Understand industry trends, customer needs & segments.
- Develop core business vision and strategy.
- Understand and develop core value propositions.
Technical Development and Innovation
- Identify technical competences required for solution development.
- Develop new Power Electronic valve designs.
- Engage with Quality and Engineering functions for design improvement.
- Lead FMEA (defect failure mode analysis) review on designs
- Work with other engineering departments for product integration.
- Champion lean awareness across the technical community within the business line.
Product and Portfolio Management
- Grow and manage portfolio across the product lifecycle
- Ensure competitive position and product vitality
- Lead new product and service development process
- Track key projects and new product introduction strategies.
Supply Chain and Procurement Optimization
- Work with sourcing and procurement for optimized solutions
- Develop and optimize key supply chain and partner relationships
Financial and Resource Management
- Understand and lead cost management strategies.
- Optimize utilization of resources and cost structure.
- Understand and utilize key business levers.
Additional Information
Qualifications & Requirements
- Professional with minimum 5 years international business experience
- Good understanding of the GE culture and organization
- Extensive knowledge of HVDC business, market and portfolio
- Strong customer and result focus
- Proven record of developing high voltage, high power power-electronic converters
- Good leadership capabilities with strong cross-cultural skills
- Optimistic, can-do attitude; thriving on change by embracing possibilities and charting own course
- Excellent written and oral communications skills in English
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams
