Job Description Summary
The Product Manager - Grid Integration is a key member of the Controls and Software product line team and the overall Wind Product Management Team. This role own strategy and product management of grid integration for all onshore wind turbines. This role is responsible for the multi-generation technology plan for grid features, commercialization strategy, and developing strategies to address changing technical and regulatory requirements for renewables grid integration across the world.
Job Description
Essential Responsibilities
- Work across engineering, Consulting Services, Commercial Teams, and external stakeholders to synthesizing customers/grid operator/key market strategic trends.
- Build roadmap of the right technologies making GE wind turbines more grid friendly and enabling larger wind penetration in key markets.
- Product Management for the GE WindControl plant controller including feature planning, prioritization, and translating customer needs into engineering programs.
- Conceptualize and lead early-stage development of programs to address grid integration needs stemming from regulatory changes (e.g. IEEE 2800 adoption) or larger technological trends (e.g. grid forming).
- Translate market and commercial needs for grid integration into wind turbine product requirements both for installed base and new unit programs.

Required characteristics
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university or college in Engineering, business, or related discipline
- 5+ years of relevant experience in renewables grid integration in an engineering, consulting, or commercial function
Desired characteristics
- Master's Degree in engineering or business
- Deep knowledge of electricity markets
- Deep knowledge of power systems
- Prior experience in a product management role
- First Experience with Product Ownership for software-based products
- Demonstrated ability to form strong cross-functional relationships and align stakeholders around a common goal
- Ability to distill complex information and effectively communicate key messages.
- Ability to translate complex quantitative analysis into concrete business actions
- Self-starter, highly motivated, innovative and creative thinker

Note (US Only!): The salary range for this position is 134.000,00 - 223.400,00 USD. The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate's experience, their education, and the work location.
