Job Description Summary
As a member of the Steam Power Nuclear team, you will be an active leader driving strategic and tactical approaches to execution of large/highly complex projects and programs for specific nuclear power generation customers. This role will require you to plan, coordinate, and execute large scale contracts leading diverse project teams from a few members to large organizations. You will serve as an interaction leader with every internal and external level of assigned highly complex large projects, with focus on communicating effectively with the customer's senior leadership team.
Job Description
Your Role:
- Project leadership and direction for the Dominion and PSEG fleets
- Additional nuclear project execution as assigned over time
- Engage and support in ITO/tendering phase bringing experience and lessons and ensuring gaps are closed, fulfilment capabilities and execution strategy is robust to ensure the project can be successful in execution.
- Define and implement the Project execution strategy, challenging all aspects of the project setup with overall object to ensure success of project.
- Leadership of a large cross functional project teams ensuring on time delivery of contract deliverables and margin attainment/enhancement.
- Manage project financials, sales, cost, invoicing, receivables and change orders.
- Serve as the GE representative and focal point for driving customer issue resolution and satisfaction.
- Proactively manage project through risk identification and mitigation strategies to meet or exceed targets.
- Stakeholder management and communication including Customer, Region, PMO, Senior Management.
- Engage with the PMO Function to ensure process and operational alignment, best practice and lessons learned implementation
- Understand, own, and implement Contract Terms & Conditions.
- Define and manage the strategy for claims management.
- Drive project schedule; work with Project Scheduler on schedule creation and management
- Coach and Mentor Field Engineers, Project Managers, Superintendents, Schedulers, and others assigned to their projects
- Manage scope, schedule, and cost of assigned projects to include timely immediate documenting of any and all scope changes on the project as a result of customer actions/inactions, changes in contracted scope (including discovery) an obtaining customer funding, authorization and contractual commitment prior to proceeding, for any changes (increase or decrease) in scope.
- Drive strong safety culture on project to assure compliance with GE safety standards
- Drive customer satisfaction through commitment to safety, quality, and execution.
- Broad general knowledge of services project execution and capability to Pivot and develop and execute new plans to address, discovery, scope changes, delay (whether customer or GE driven) recovery plans within to scope of the existing contract to improve the safety, quality, schedule, and cost basis of the project
- Drive productivity in execution of assigned projects, to include new methods, new components, new parts as appropriate.
- Ensure parts needed for contract execution are identified and appropriately addressed (Customer or GE supply).
- Perform other duties as required

Basic Qualifications:
- University degree from an accredited university or college
- +15 years of experience in Project Management, executing large scale services projects for Power Generation or particularly complex extended scope projects
- Willingness and ability to travel to project sites as needed, approximately 20% of the time, with the majority of work being remote.
Desired Qualifications:
- Desired to be located in the Hartford Connecticut area to support the Dominion and PSEG fleets.
- PMP certification, Project management Leadership Program graduate or other Project Management training with excellent business acumen
- Has performed successful installations and outages as a project manager or project director leading cross functional and/or international teams
- Experience and training on GE, Alstom, Siemens or other OEM equipment is preferred
- Very Good knowledge and experience with Primavera P6 or other scheduling tools (Microsoft Project or similar)
- Technical competence in reading and interpreting electrical/mechanical drawings, engineering specifications/instructions
- Clear thinker with an ability to focus on the "critical few" issue/priorities. Able to communicate messages clearly and concisely. Ability to translate strategy into business objectives

The salary range for this position is 140.300,00 to 187.100,00 USD Annual. The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate's experience, their education, and the work location. In addition, this position is eligible for a 15% performance bonus. This posting is expected to close on February 16th, 2025.
