This position will be accountable for manufacturing quality and manufacturing engineering of HRSG Changwon plant, leading the manufacturing quality & manufacturing engineering project, NDE, quality accreditation, and solving the issue. Impacts departmental operations and responsible for planning/execution. The role has autonomy but is focused on execution of activities within an operating discipline covered by standard functional practices and procedures. Some judgment may be required but this is typically with guidance.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Supervision and management of NDE in the factory, including review and approval of NDE procedure and personnel and management of FPY of NDE.
  • Ownership includes quality assurance, quality control and manufacturing engineering. Includes quality assurance of products, services, manufacturing processes and NDE. Includes conformance in manufacturing, incoming goods control, product inspection, witness points, etc.
  • Developing in-depth knowledge of a technical discipline. Uses prior experience and acquired technical expertise to execute policy/strategy.
  • In-depth comprehension of key business drivers; uses this comprehension to accomplish own work. In-depth comprehension of how work of own team integrates with other teams and contributes to the area.
  • Uses some level of judgment and has ability to propose different solutions outside of set parameters but with guidance. Uses prior experience and on-the-job training to solve straightforward tasks. Has access to technical skills and analytic thinking required to solve problems. May use multiple internal sources outside of own team to arrive at decisions.
  • Manage for review, deviation & clarification of contract requirement.
  • Confirm that the project quality plan adheres to the contract and is followed in the engineering, procurement, manufacture, delivery of the HRSG pressure parts equipment.
  • Develop a list of agreed-to critical inspections and tests to be witnessed by the internal/external customer and attend witness point visits with customer, inspect the processes, procedures, and equipment
  • Lead & support root cause investigations, recommend & follow-up the effective corrective actions and identify potential cost savings.
  • A job at this level is likely to be an individual contributor with proven interpersonal skills or an early people leader who can hire and develop talent. Provides informal guidance to new team members

Minimum Qualifications:

  • ASNT NDT Level III certification
  • This role requires advanced experience in the Manufacturing Engineering & Production Quality. Knowledge level is comparable to a Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college ( or a high school diploma with relevant experience).
  • 5+ years related NDE / Quality management experiences in Power Plant business
  • Able to communicate in English

  • Strong oral and written communication skills. Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems. Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs.
  • Experience with manufacturing operations, engineering and Quality management.
  • Skilled in team works and managing priorities to a successful outcome
  • Knowledge of HRSG components and systems and Experience in building a culture of transparency, speed and collaboration.
  • Creative problem solver, passion for delivering on commitments

Technical knowledge & experience of welding, quality, international code/standard, HRSG manufacturing process, non-destructive testing and trouble shooting.
