Our mission is to develop state of the art monitoring technologies, generally deployed in an Electrical Substation, allowing a customer to understand and optimize the operating condition of their Electrical Power Transformers, circuit breakers and other substation assets.

We are looking for a dynamic and talented individual to join our Technology department. This role encompasses various aspects of Mechanical Engineering, from design to testing and certification. Key responsibilities include:
- Participating in Product Development processes.
- Identifying and creating innovative solutions.
- Working on continuous improvement projects..
- Supporting our global supply chain to sustain manufacturing and supplier processes.

The ideal candidate will have a proactive approach, a strong problem-solving mindset, and the ability to work collaboratively in a team.
Responsibilities
- Work within a cross-functional team to achieve agreed deliverables, from product concept to final certification and launch, within set timelines.
- The successful candidate will be responsible for developing mechanical designs, using CAD modelling/simulation tools.
- Ensure designs meet and comply with all relevant quality and regulatory standards.
- Development and execution of verification and validation test plans for new product projects.
- Support continuous improvement projects across the Business.
Essential Criteria
- Candidates should either have a degree in Mechanical Engineering or be currently pursuing one (Mechatronics and Aeronautical also considered).
- Fluency in spoken and written English is essential.
- CAD experience - Solidworks / AutoCAD with experience of creating detailed drawings, BOMs and specifications.
- 'Hands on' approach to design & testing (ability to assemble and modify prototypes etc.).
- Competency with Microsoft Office tools, particularly Excel.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work in a team environment or independently on multiple projects with strict completion deadlines.
Desired Criteria
- Previous industrial work experience.
- Experience of simulation tools (e.g. Ansys, Solidworks simulation).
- Experience using FMEA, RCA, 8D tools.
- Understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
