Job Description

What you'll do

  • Perform component mechanical design and stress analysis in support of steam turbine requisitions and new product introductions.
  • Execute services requisition projects, interfacing with upstream stakeholders for inputs, executing scheduled design engineering tasks, and delivering to customers on-time with quality.
  • Develop creative engineered solutions for factory, vendor, and customer issues.
  • Apply steam turbine knowledge of design and manufacturing to implement new ideas that improve upon component form, fit, function, cost, cycle, and ease of servicing and installation.
  • Partner with Global Supply Chain for the conduct of producibility, quality, and cost-out initiatives.

What you'll bring (Basic Qualifications):

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited university or college OR a high school diploma/ GED with 4 years of professional mechanical design experience.

  • 1+ years of engineering experience
  • 1+ years of shop/manufacturing/supply chain experience
  • Experience with steam turbine components (Valves, buckets, rotors, stationary components)
  • Strong team player; collaboration mindset

  • Customer satisfaction mindset with strong Quality orientation
  • Ability to work in a dynamic environment with individuals in global locations
  • Ability and willingness to challenge the status quo and deliver the best GE products

For U.S. based candidates only, for purposes of complying with U.S. pay transparency requirements, the base pay range for this position is $69,600.00 - 104,400.00 USD Annual.

The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate's experience, education, and skill set. This position is also eligible for a 5% performance bonus.

*The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas.

This position will stay open on the career website until at least 10/15/2024.
