  • Meet quarterly Orders targets through the development of opportunities in end-users (utility companies), transformer manufacturers and other indirect channels from early specification all the way through contract/PO registration.
  • Prospect and articulate opportunities in the assigned geographic area. Keep a detailed and updated project pipeline for Mexico and CAC. Accountability for providing, committing, and delivering orders forecasts for Mexico and CAC.
  • You will participate in discussions with M&D Global Management. Your role will be to discuss M&D portfolio strategy for Mexico and CAC, competitors, market trends, new products needed, support needed, resolution of problems that require the Global team involvement.
  • Responsible for the development of new leads in the Region and segments like Generation, Transmission, Distribution, Mining and Oil and Gas. Directly with End-Users or partnering with EPCs, OEMs or Channels Partners.
  • Manage a network of business partners, distributors, and resellers in Mexico and CAC.
  • Participate, provide leadership and be accountable for the technical and commercial offers prepared by the Tendering team and negotiate the cost with the manufacturing units.
  • Coordinate actions with Country Sales Leaders for products strategy, promotion, workshops, and pricing.
  • Technical presentations, development of the sales strategy in your geographic area and develop a strong customer relationship.
  • Coordination with other GE units to increase pipeline.
  • Provide an essential link from the customer to commercial operations, engineering, and product development teams.
  • Develop and cultivate long-term relationships at all levels of customer organizations and within GE.
  • Manage expenses within budget.
  • Develop technical expertise in GE's Transformer Monitoring offerings.
  • Ability to make effective Customer presentations.
  • Quality and consistency of the data introduced in company's Sales Force CRM.
  • Support of management on company's governance rhythm

Role Summary/Purpose:

  • Lead the Sales of a portfolio of products across different countries/customers in Mexico and CAC.

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Degree in electronic or electrical engineering, Control & Instrumentation Engineering, or related degree
  • Minimum of 8 years of commercial experience in the M&D (Monitoring and Diagnostics) or Electrical Utilities Asset Management segment
  • Ability and willingness to travel more than 30% of the time.
  • Fluent in English
  • Native in Spanish.

Desired Characteristics:

  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Deep product and domain expertise of G, T&D power delivery products including power transformers.
  • Advanced Knowledge of Transformers and Monitoring and Diagnostics
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
  • Advanced ability to obtain data, treat, analyze, extract information and plan actions based on data from Excel, SalesForce, Tableau and other similar software.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead programs.
  • Interest in progressing in the career and lead small teams.
  • Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs.
  • Strong team player, work ethic, and commitment to job
