Job Description Summary
In the context of Major Component Upgrades, the MCU Planner is responsible for planning & delivery of critical project resources (cranes, labor, tooling and materials) for all MCU projects across the EMEA region, aligning the Master Schedules with operational strategy and priorities and providing all status updates, forecasting, progress measurement, reporting, and analysis through Project Preparation, Execution and Post-Execution.
The MCU Planner drives also the Project Management Team and Senior Management on the MCU projects by identifying schedule risks and opportunities early-on, and developing mitigation plans and ensure GE's processes, operating rhythm, rigor checks and monitoring of risks and opportunities are strictly adhered to.

Job Description
Essential Responsibilities
- Responsible for planning management of cranes, labor, tooling and materials across EMEA Major Component Upgrades projects.
- Ensure that the Safety, Quality, Delivery and Cost priorities in that order are respected when allocating the critical resources to any MCU projects.
- Ensure timely and accurate schedule forecasting and identify schedule risk and opportunities. Advises the project team and works closely with them to develop corrective action plans.
- Proactively manage internal and external project activities by closely monitoring the critical paths and the project float.
- Work closely with the GE Service Project Managers and GE Execution Managers to understand the operational needs, the timelines, the project and contractual constraints and the overall operational rhythm and support them in any critical resource planning matters.
- Forecast any ramp up in the demand of any critical resource and create/communicate the mitigation plans accordingly.
- Ensure that the crane and labor available market offer fits to the required MCU projects demand and increase planning efficiency in term of usage across projects.
- Work closely with the GE tooling center and parts teams to ensure that the respective departments can fulfill the MCU project's needs.
- Obtains the internal and external participants commitment on a common target schedule and secure / update the master schedule.
- Develop and communicate a harmonized portfolio planning reporting on a monthly/weekly basis, highlighting progress and critical areas to the Senior Management and Project Team. Prepares the project reviews and other input for Senior Management, the Project Management Office, and EHS when required.
- Participates in client meetings on planning, scheduling, and progress matters when required by the project
- Establishes and conducts progress monitoring meetings with all project participants.
- Supports all claim preparation with detailed schedules and analysis to substantiate the case.
- Maintain MCU related customer wait time across the region in accordance with business objective.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or business discipline, or equivalent experience, with a minimum of 5 years operations experience in field services or Project management in the wind industry (highly valuable) or any other complex industry.
- Fluent in English
