Job Description

We are seeking a dynamic Manufacturing Service and Repair Leader to work from our UK Stafford Office.

In this role, you will embody a safety-first mindset while prioritising customer satisfaction, timely delivery, team collaboration and cross functional working, lean practices, cost management, and cash flow optimisation.

You will lead the service and repair process and ensure fast turnaround times for all repairs, maintaining safe and compliant work standards with optimal inventory and cost efficiency.

Additionally, you will spearhead continuous improvement initiatives and lead the repairs process and function.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Safety and Compliance: Ensure all work standards and practices are safe and compliant.
  • Communication Management: Handle all verbal and written communication between Project, Site, and Repair Cell. Ensure all processes, including RMA, ERN SAP, are followed and efficient.
  • Repair Targets: Achieve targeted repairs on a weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis, continually improving processes and turnaround times.
  • SAP Management: Lead the repairs process in SAP, ensuring materials and trades are handled efficiently and promptly.
  • Query Management: Manage queries from Project, Site, and Region regarding repairs.
  • Repair Planning: Lead planning efforts for repairs.
  • Operational Alignment: Ensure alignment with Customer Delivery Requirements and business KPIs.
  • Project Coordination: Liaise with Projects to ensure timely collection of repaired units and agree on drop-off dates.
  • Process Improvements: Drive process improvements using lean principles to eliminate waste.
  • Performance Monitoring: Utilize data-driven Daily Management systems to monitor performance.
  • Team Management: Motivate and manage the team's performance, addressing any individual poor performance to achieve business goals.
  • Cross-Functional Coordination: Coordinate with other functions to achieve overall business objectives.

Required Qualifications:

  • Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) System Knowledge: Proficient in the SD Module in SAP or any equivalent ERP system.
  • Efficiency Improvement Tools: Experience applying daily management tools, process mapping, waste hunting, and problem-solving tools to improve efficiency.
  • Leadership and Communication: Strong people leadership and communication skills.
  • Adaptability: Excellent attitude towards change and continuous improvement.
  • Teamwork: Strong team-working abilities and the capability to understand and support business requirements.
