Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Quality Assurance (QA) of manufacturing processes, Lead QA team to define the better inspection plan, measurement instruction and protocols to avoid non-conformances and escapes defects.
- Quality Control (QC) of manufacturing process, lead QC team to execute product inspection as defined by QA team.
- By QA and QC, ensure success on Customer witness points, no escapes defects to next phase.
- Provide area leadership for all quality topics, including timely dispositions of non-conformances, QMS (Quality Management System) compliance including internal product and process audits, and achieving goals for quality metrics.
- Interpret engineering drawings and specifications against physical parts to investigate non-conformances and effectively document / communicate findings.
- Analyze quality data to identify high impact and recurring defect modes to drive meaningful corrective actions.
- Support root cause analysis of non-conformances and implement corrective actions.
- Maintain familiarity with manufacturing processes and practices to continuously improve manufacturing quality.
- Support goals for continuous improvement through Quality and Lean methodology
- Prepare and present quality data to plant leadership, including progress towards quality targets, current challenges, and corrective actions.
- A job at this level requires good interpersonal skills and may be required to lead a junior team.
- For customer facing roles, develops strong customer relationships and serves as the interface between customer and GE.
- Manage financial budget, control expenses and hours for Quality Team.

Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering from an accredited university or college.
- Experience in Quality (manufacturing, metrology, system), minimum of 10 years.
- Fluent in Portuguese and English.
- Experience in leading teams is recommended.
- Experience in an industrial equipment manufacturing environment.
- Demonstrated ability to solve technical issues and implement solutions that account for ergonomic, quality and cost considerations.
- Experience with heavy industrial assembly processes.
- Strong mechanical and/or electrical design ability.
- Ability to manage priorities and achieve results.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
