The Maintenance Operations Leader "Off-shift" position - is responsible for Departmental Operations, planning and execution of professional activities within a technical discipline. Utilizing both second and third shift Maintenance operations to providing support for business goals, Driving Key Performance Indicators "KPI" such as Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost and People. Supporting TPM programs to each cell, implementing continuous improvement project to improve the overall health of each cell's equipment. In this role, you will utilize your experience and expertise to solve problems, develop and execute tactical & strategic objectives, drive results that impact short-term and long-term business goals.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Key Partner with Environmental Health and Safety Teams to support EHS plant wide.
  • Support EHS departmental processes and methods such as LOTO, Confined Space, Electrical Safety, ARC Flash, Working at Heights, Lifting and Rigging, to ensure the Safety of our Technicians through required safety regulations and guidelines from OSHA, NFPA, NEC, IEC to provide a safe working environment for our employee's.
  • Drive Safety work order completion with off shift resources.
  • Works with Production Cells to support plant business goals and objectives.
  • Liaison between Production and Maintenance to Improve the equipment Operation Availability.
  • Work closely with Members of the production team to improve cell's manufacturing equipment and achieve superior product quality.
  • Support TPM program by Managing and Schedule Predictive Maintenance "PM" and Predictive "PDM" work orders with Production cells to Drive PM Completion.
  • Support Maintenance TPM Teams to Implement TPM Program Element Strategies for each Production cell.
  • Support additional KPI Initiatives such as managing, scheduling, the completion of Impaired Work Orders, and continuous improvement projects to improve the Overall Value or the Maintenance Organization.
  • Utilize Problem Solving Tools to assist experienced Technicians in understanding and solving Equipment Maintenance Issues.
  • Assist Maintenance Engineer teams with the concepts and creative solutions to improve Overall Machine Health.
  • Identify and Assist in the Development of Training Programs to improve technician's skills and abilities.
  • Conduct cost/benefit analysis for improvements on maintenance spare parts, processes and/or equipment to identify and achieve department savings.
  • Utilizes in-depth knowledge of a technical discipline, analytical thinking, and technical experience to execute policy/strategy as it pertains to equipment safety and machine health.
  • Uses expert judgment and ability to propose different solutions outside of set parameters, to address complicated manufacturing equipment issues. Collaborate with multiple external sources to arrive at World Class solutions.
  • Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience. Lead projects and resource requirements to improve cell equipment. Explains information; developing skills to bring team members to consensus around topics within field. Conveys performance expectations and may handle sensitive issues.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college OR a High School diploma / GED with at least 6 years of experience in managing equipment maintenance organization (programs/teams)
  • 5 years' experience with Maintenance / Repair of CNC equipment

Eligibility Requirements

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the USA without sponsorship now or in the future
  • 100% onsite at GE Greenville, SC plant
  • Must be able to work an off-shite schedule (2nd shift: 2:45 pm-10:45 pm AND OR 3rd Shift: 10:45pm - 6:45am // Mon - Friday)

Desired Characteristics

  • Experience in a leadership role (IE: Team Lead, Shift Coordinator, Supervisory, etc.)
  • Prior experience to and knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
  • Effective at managing multiple priorities under deadlines
  • Ability to plan communicate and execute

Pay Transparency

The base pay range for this position is $80,000 - $95,000. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate's experience, education, and skill set. This position is also eligible for a 10% performance bonus/variable incentive compensation/equity. This posting is expected to close on October 17, 2024, or thereafter.

*The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas.
