The Logistics Project Site Quality Leader will work closely with the commercial, projects, and logistics teams in North America to evaluate the logistics risks and challenges associated with potential wind project sites and then help plan and execute wind turbine deliveries that are safe and on-time for GE Vernova and its customers.

Job Description

Essential Responsibilities

  • Evaluate project proposals at early stages with the commercial team to help define the logistics risks
  • Develop GE Vernova's logistics strategy for challenging project site locations
  • Create delivery plans and site civil construction plans that support cost-effective, safe and timely deliveries
  • Partner with GE Vernova project managers and work alongside customers on the advance planning necessary to ensure project site roads and delivery pads are constructed in accordance with GE Vernova Specifications and ready for safe and efficient deliveries
  • Work with GE Vernova Project Site teams and customers during project deliveries to problem solve issues relating to site roads, component offloads, and logistics safety
  • Be responsible for maintaining GE Vernova's Site Road Specification, including updating the spec for new turbine configurations as needed
  • Coordinate with the outbound logistics route study team and government agency coordinator to help ensure a complete delivery plan is in place for every project
  • Be responsible for scheduling and running outbound logistics 'kickoff' meetings for every project
  • Manage and coordinate GE Vernova outbound logistics site personnel (logistics safety coordinators, site auditors, site monitors and truck supervisors)
  • Primary customer POC for issue resolution regarding site roads and safety at project sites
  • Estimated travel 25%

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university or college with coursework in Engineering, Business Administration, or Supply Chain and Logistics.
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in Supply Chain, Materials Planning, Project Management, and/or Logistics Planning

The base pay range for this position is $86,300 - $143,900 USD Annual. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate's experience, education, and skill set. This position is also eligible for variable incentive compensation of 10%. This posting is expected to close no earlier than August 5, 2024.
*The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas.
