Essential Responsibilities:
- Coordinate with carriers, freight forwarders, project management, sourcing, manufacturing and/or engineering for processing documentation in preparation of shipments.
- Coordinate and schedule outgoing shipments (Full Truckload, Less than Truckload, Full container load and Parcel)
- Create and process documentation for supporting international and domestic shipments. Including but not limited to: packing slips, commercial invoices, Shipper Letter Instruction (SLI), North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA), Shipper Export Declaration (SED), Bill of Ladings, Certificate of Origin, Packing Declarations, Verified Gross Mass (VGM), dock receipts and Letters of Credit.
- Send shipping notices to customers.
- Support the implementation of key logistical projects.
- Partner with project managers to ensure customers are provided accurate quotes, and prepare shipments for pick p b our delivery partners according to the expected time of delivery.
- Oversight of total freight spend to include budgeting, invoicing and financial reporting.
- Receives and responds to routine correspondence from internal and external customers.
- Coordinate to obtain least cost to support transportation and/or packaging for export goods.
- Create and manage shipping quotes with a minimum of three quotes to optimize cost reduction efforts.
- Proactively reviews daily shipping log to ensure all items shipped as scheduled.
- Manage proof of deliveries.
- Assures all freight-related system (MRP) transaction occur on a timely basis.
- Manage SAP/Inventory transactions including updating customer information.
- Manage crisis by reorganizing shipment with sites, couriers, etc.
- Manage AES filing for international shipments with US government.
- Handle all rejected materials for returned shipments to supplier for rework both international and domestic.
- Follow compliance for international and domestic laws and regulations.
- Other duties as assigned by manager.

Qualifications/Requirements:
- Associate degree in Business or related field with a minimum of 2 years of experience in logistics and/or import/export of shipments
- OR High School Diploma (or GED) with a minimum of 4 years of experience in logistics and/or import/export of shipments
Desired Characteristics:
- Minimum of 2 years of Inventory/Manufacturing experience
- Previous Freight Forwarder background or experience
- Display computer literacy in shipping software tools, Microsoft Office, Oracle and SAP.
- Strong verbal, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Trained and certified in Hazardous Material Transportation, Vessell Shipper, Handling and Disposal.
- Must be able to lift, push, and pull at least 40 lbs.
- Ability to work in a production-oriented environment under frequently changing priorities.
- Ability to learn quickly with attention to detail
