Logistics Analyst

Job Description Summary

Manage transportation and related logistics of goods and services to and from internal and/or external customers/suppliers. Impacts quality of own work and the work of others on the team. Executes standard operational/technical tasks typically subject to instructions and work routines. There is latitude to rearrange the sequence to complete task/duties based on changing work situations.

Job Description

Essential Responsibilities:

Main missions: Receipt / Inventory: Performs loading / unloading operations of carriers (local and international) using special handling equipment. Performs a control of the tools coming back from building site by means of the notice of dispatch (Local / Importation logistics activities)

• RFQ - freights OTR (Program)
  • Alignment considering: place of delivery and destination; volume, weight and package dimensions; any other information related to explosive / biohazard / sensitive, etc (local and international) based upon negotiated INCOTERM (Sourcing / Procurement / PM Negotiation)
  • Contact suppliers and share all related information (get at least 2 or 3 valid quotes)
  • Compare quotes and align PMs
• RFQ - freights ITO (Project)
  • Alignment considering: place of delivery and destination; volume, weight and package dimensions; any other information related to explosive / biohazard / sensitive, etc (local and international)
  • Contact suppliers and share all related information (get at least 2 or 3 valid quotes)
• Contract freight forwarder
  • Approve SPT into GE System (procurement to issue PO) considering best scenario (price x transit time)
• Coordinate goods pick ups (local and international in internal or external suppliers)
  • Meetings / Conference calls / Emails to coordinate shipments (normally, PMs and Internal / External Suppliers are involved)
  • Guarantee documentation (invoice, BLs, AWBs, packing lists) are accurate / approve - follow ups on EY, Brokers and Internal / External Suppliers (when needed)
• Follow up during transit time on freight forwarders, Brookers and within PMs
  • Track shipments with Brokers and Freight Forwarders - meetings / conference calls / emails exchange might be required
  • Coordinate and anticipate to issues during Customs clearance
  • Understand if any anticipate payment is required on Customs
  • Customs clearance tracking
• Export activities
  • Follow ups / tracking on broker, PM and internal / external supplier, based upon SALES INCOTERM
  • Coordinate goods preparation / collect

• Bachelor degree in Business Administration, Foreign Trade, and/ or similar areas is required;
• Advanced knowledge of English;
• Intermediate knowledge of Spanish;
• Significant experience in Logistics in Brazil and Other countries (South Cone as Argentina, Chile and Uruguay)

• Detail oriented and flexibly to attend urgent demands.
