Job Description Summary
The Lead Sourcing Specialist will work closely with the assigned Sourcing Manager and business as the local owner for assigned segments of direct Sourcing. These responsibilities include the execution of strategies to ensure realization of the business objectives specific to direct sourcing responsibilities, aligning with Global Sourcing guidelines.
Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Leading and supporting the development & execution of the local and global sourcing strategies that delivers a competitive advantage, driving the strategic supplier initiatives. This includes supplier selection, development, and supplier consolidation to ensure sourcing optimization and overall supplier performance.
- Manage relationships with key suppliers to ensure timely delivery, quality, compliance with contractual terms and material availability
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives throughout the supply chain to increase efficiency and reduce costs
- Lead the sourcing process for defined commodities, including identifying and selecting supplier portfolio, negotiating contracts, and managing overall supplier performance
- Assist other department/process owners in identifying and prioritizing opportunities to improve productivity, cost, quality, and service throughout the internal organization and external supply chain
- Strategic and operational procurement tasks, including coordination, troubleshooting, lead or participation in projects to enhance the product development and improve the efficiency of procurement as well as to achieve common targets

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Technical Degree from an accredited university or college
- A minimum of 3-5 years of hands-on experience in Sourcing, Quality, or Manufacturing related experience
- Strong customer service and results oriented mindset
- Good knowledge of SAP will be needed
- Ideally, experience with following tools (Windchill PLM Software, Tungsten, Oscar, Supplier Connect, Office package)
- Independent, structured working method and good communication skills
- Resilient, flexible, team player and committed
- Language skills: proficient in German and English, written & spoken
