GE Vernova's Power Conversion business provides electrification systems that are critical to customers' power and energy needs for their high-performance applications. We work with some of the world's major energy, maritime and industrial organizations, helping to enable a transition to energy efficiency and decarbonization, including through our specialist motors, drives and control technologies.

The Sales Manager - Services for Rotating Machines is responsible for the overall sales management of services for rotating machines (motors and generators) for the GE Power Conversion business. This position will work to successfully development with end users accounts thus enabling growth of the Power Conversion portfolio.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Develop strategic account plans for end users and promote motor services selling strategy
  • Identify the 'untapped' customer base to ensure regular direct customer and maintenance teams to build the required customer relationship and drive pipeline
  • Single point of customer contact to technical requirements, including technical presentation to all levels of the customer organization
  • Participate in the overall commercial process rhythm
  • Coordinate with the respective quoting and business teams to structure winning proposals
  • Engage with regional ITO / OTR teams in order to address customer challenges raised during customer engagements
  • Link the regional pipeline to achieve short- to mid-term orders targets
  • Timely maintain and provide accurate SFDC opportunity records

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university (In Mechanical or Electrical Engineering)
  • Minimum 6 years of relevant experience in sales, commercial operations, risk or marketing

Desired Characteristics

  • Proven experience dealing with customers and end users selling motor and generators repairs, upgrades, rewinds.
  • Be willing to travel up to 30% of the time
  • Technical knowledge of motors and generators applications and solutions
  • Demonstrated inclusive behavior with success in leading or working in a matrix organization
  • Demonstrated clear thinking with effective communication at all levels
  • Strong influencing skills
  • Customer-focused mindset with proven ability to respond quickly to customer needs
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs

The base pay range for this position is $110-140k. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate's experience, education, and skill set. This position is also eligible for bonuses, such as a performance bonus/variable incentive compensation/equity. This position is expected to close on December1st, 2024. The company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120%, or 130% of salary in certain areas.
