As a Lead Project Controller, you will be responsible for overseeing financial and operational performance for multiple projects within the organization. Your duties include managing project budgets, tracking progress, and forecasting financial outcomes. You will collaborate closely with project managers to identify potential risks, implement cost control measures, and ensure projects stay on schedule and within budget. This role involves preparing detailed financial reports, analyzing project performance, and ensuring compliance with company policies and industry regulations.

The Lead Project Controller will also lead a team of project controllers, providing guidance, mentorship, and support in the execution of their duties. Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills are essential for success in this role, as well as experience with project management software and financial reporting tools.
Qualifications
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the Lead Project Controls to implement project strategies that keep the project on time and within budget.
- Deliver detailed planning and costing for the HVDC scope, integrated into the overall project framework.
- Support HVDC project requirements globally as part of the wider Project Controls team.
Scheduling Responsibilities:
- Develop tender schedules using standardized tools, ensuring a balance between competitive offerings and historical performance.
- Create and maintain a comprehensive project schedule that integrates inputs from all teams and third parties.
- Ensure all interdependencies are clearly represented in the schedule and that functional owners are accountable for their deadlines.
- Work closely with the overall project planning team to ensure alignment with the broader project schedule.
- Maintain the project schedule throughout the project lifecycle, continuously updating it based on inputs from all stakeholders.
- Lead regular project team meetings to review the schedule status and operational progress.
- Analyze the schedule to identify risks and opportunities, providing actionable insights to the project team.
- Generate and evaluate "what if" scenarios to optimize project execution and mitigate risks.
- Provide clear, timely reporting on schedule status, risks, and potential delays, including customer reports.
Key Skills and Competencies:
- Ability to drive project teams to meet objectives and control the project timeline.
- Excellent analytical skills for using data to forecast project outcomes and assess risks.
- Effective communicator with the ability to influence stakeholders across various functions.
- Proficient in using Primavera and other scheduling tools.
- Proven cost management skills.
