Job Description Summary

Coordinate and expedite the flow of materials (from suppliers and also within departments) according to production schedules. Plan and schedule material/production needs. Impacts departmental operations and responsible for planning/execution. The role has some autonomy but is focused on execution of activities within an operating discipline covered by standard functional practices and procedures. Some judgment may be required but this is typically with guidance.

  • Manage master planning, material processes and systems, prepare and update production schedules and purchasing needs. Ensure operational alignment with production plan and KPIs. Optimize inventory and process improvements. Develops new solutions under guidance and/or in a team setting or based upon precedents in the organizations. Works together with business leadership & ONW India OTR Team.

Delivers products as part of a team. Works on cross functional teams. Alternatively: Leads analytical and design activities using proven technologies and vested approaches and methods.

Fulfillment

• Lead Manufacturing, Materials and Internal Customers to arrive at a consensus on manufacturing and delivery plan.

• Drive complete order fulfilment for the plant, Strategize entire Materials planning, orders, and demand planning to oversee smooth function of the entire supply chain.

• Develop production schedule to meet customer demands as per S&OP, drive material requirements, and communicate with customers on delivery schedules / Wind Biz team.

• Identify critical path of the supply chain, identify actions to shorten delivery lead-time to win/ support customer orders.

• Manage, control & level load of build at plant/ product level to utilize the build capacity and support on business scenarios simulation.

• Coordinate with Projects for Inspection & EXW plan to take decision on uninterrupted build & reschedule the jobs in the event of change in Customer demand.

• Identify and manage bottleneck / shop capacity risks & opportunities.

• Support the material management team defining critical parts in advance buy in order keep correct service level and to meet inventory targets.

• Timely update and release daily, weekly and monthly metrics charts and focus on measures of performance to meet delivery performance targets.

• Provide effective scheduling and implementation of all programs based on the Master Schedule, cycle time, shop capacity, hardware / tooling availability.

Materials
  • Place POs in system keeping inventory & Order-to-Build (OTB) in mind & seek PO acknowledgement from suppliers.
  • Conduct regular follow-ups with suppliers for production shipment schedules & monitor status.
  • Manage supplier documentation to ensure compliance to regulator.
  • Conduct periodic meetings with suppliers to understand bottlenecks, challenges.
  • Ensure on-time unloading of delivery vehicles & closure of GRN.
  • Ensure inventory targets related to safety stock is not breached.
  • Check & download inventory stock
  • Sourcing discussion to finalize supplier, allocation any challenges from supplier.
  • Ensure on-time resolution on RTV , loan and rep, MRB related issue
  • packaging improvement to avoid risk and reduce cost of transportation.
  • Lead time and logistic time reduction by working with CFT.
  • change implementation.
  • obsolete part inventory and inventory ageing reduction.
  • Provide aid to sourcing by suggesting alternate source, optimized assemblies etc.

  • Required Qualifications

    • This role requires advanced experience in the Manufacturing & Materials Planning and Execution. Knowledge level is comparable to a Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college
