Roles and Responsibilities

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Supervise and ensure that all installation processes for WFSC-related equipment meet regulatory standards and operational requirements.
  • Oversee routine and preventive maintenance activities to ensure the equipment operates efficiently and reliably.
  • Manage the repair process for any malfunctioning equipment, including troubleshooting and coordinating with repair teams.
  • Provide training and support to ensure employees are knowledgeable about maintenance procedures, safety protocols, and nuclear regulatory compliance.
  • Lead and manage a team responsible in coordination with radiation protection, as applicable, for the maintenance and repair of WFSC equipment.
  • Coordinate with management to develop, forecast, and implement plans for maintaining and upgrading WFSC equipment, including scheduling and resource allocation.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation to demonstrate compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Develop preventive maintenance schedule to minimize shop downtimes
  • Response to emergent facility issues (e.g., power loss, loss of ventilation)
  • WFSC Digital Asset Administrator
  • Coordinate with facilities and engineering to support component, or system replacement to ensure equipment reliability.
  • Coordinate required facility inspections to demonstrate compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Accessible after normal working hours including weekends.
  • Building Manager Emergency Organization

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, a technical discipline, or other related field from a regionally accredited college or university with a minimum of 3 years' experience;

    OR

    Associate degree in engineering, a technical discipline, or other related field from a regionally accredited college or university with a minimum of 5 years' experience;
  • Minimum 2-3 years of mechanical/electrical/PLC maintenance experience in a manufacturing or facility operation

Eligibility Requirements

  • Ability to gain unescorted access into areas associated with 10CFR 37 quantities of radioactive material.

Desired Characteristics

  • BS/BA in a technical field
  • Supervision experience in a manufacturing or technical field consisting of mechanical, electrical, and PLCs
  • Experience working in Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) regulated environment. Ability to interpret engineering documentation such as mechanical and electrical schematics.
  • Experience in facility or nuclear procedure and training development.
  • Proven facilitation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
  • Ability to interpret plant/facility drawings
  • Proficiency and experience with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Power Point, Excel, Outlook)
  • AutoCAD experience
