Our work includes the designing, manufacturing, and installation of equipment for hydroelectric power plants, as well as servicing and refurbishing existing facilities. Job Description
Responsibilities for our Controllership positions include:
- Global Financial Reporting: Lead monthly and quarterly closing and reporting processes in collaboration with regional controllers.
- Financial Analysis: Act as the primary contact for balance sheet and P&L edit checks, intercompany discrepancies, and follow-ups.
- Balance Sheet Management: Prepare and present detailed balance sheet analyses and financial closing packages for non-project areas (accounts payable, receivable, other assets, liabilities).
- Template Alignment: Support the alignment of FRP and balance sheet deep dive templates.
- Representation Letter: Prepare the total representation letter.
- Supply Chain Finance: Collaborate with Supply Chain Finance and Buy to Pay Teams on free stock obsolescence, physical inventory, GRNI review, AP debit note reserves, and supplier advances.
- Supply Chain Controllership: Oversee inventory and supply chain finance activities.
- Reserves Management: Manage restructuring, environmental reserves, non-project litigations, equity investments, credit loss reserves, and LLA impairment.
- Process Implementation: Lead the implementation of new processes for R2R, C&B, fixed assets, and intercompany system improvements.
- US GAAP Support: Ensure accurate US GAAP accounting for ledgers in headquarters books.
- Reserves Monitoring: Monitor, account, and report on various reserves (credit loss, AR reserve, inventory).
- AR and Cash Application: Support accounts receivable and cash application processes.
- Transition Coordination: Serve as the key contact for the ongoing transition of the accounting team.
- Day-to-Day Accounting: Coordinate and review daily US GAAP accounting and close activities performed by outsourced teams.
- Account Reconciliation: Lead the preparation and review of balance sheet account reconciliations.
- Lean Initiatives: Drive lean initiatives to reduce MJE, manual payments, company codes, and implement CORA, IC2.
- Audit Support: Provide support during internal and external audits
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor degree in finance/business/economy
- Advanced level experience in accounting/controllership
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP accounting
- Fluent English communication skills
- Ability work in a multicultural environment
Desired Characteristics:
- Experience in using SAP system
