Job Description Summary
The Lead Repair Development Engineer, Laser Ablative Technology, is responsible for developing, and optimizing laser ablation processes in cooling holes clearing application. You will be working alongside with AMRT (Advanced Manufacturing & Repair Technology) Breakthrough team and support industrialization of process around the global repair network to deliver quality and productivity, as well as transactional services growth. The job allows modification of procedures and practices covering work as long as the end results meet standards of acceptability (quality, volume, timeliness etc.).
Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
- The focus for this role is to identify, develop and industrialize laser ablation processes for cooling holes clearing technology for the services network. This role can affect short-term and long-term business goals.
- Hands-on experimentation to apply and integrate advancements in laser technology to enhance process efficiency and quality
- Recommend approaches to meet the technical and program requirements.
- Understanding of laser system and ensuring compliance with safety standards.
- Collaboration with cross-functional teams on development and implement of technology
- Assure proper documentation of technical data generated for the assigned projects and/or tasks consistent with engineering policies and procedures
- Monitor and communicate project status, business issues, and significant developments
- Lead or participate in organizational efforts in assigned projects and/or tasks
- Participate as a presenter or reviewer in technical and program reviews

Qualifications/ Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, Materials from an accredited college or university
- Minimum of 10 years of manufacturing experience. Knowledge in laser Laser technology would be preferred.
- Understand in laser physics and ability to demonstrate a proactive approach to solving complex technical challenges through direct engagement with equipment and processes.
- Basic understanding of robotic concepts and systems, including vision systems and kinematics
- Ability and willingness to travel a minimum 10% of the time, as required
- Able to demonstrate experience in project management and hands on trials
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Good communication and documentation skills
