Job Description Summary
We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced person to perform & lead our engineering & design team in the development and design of cryogenic system end to end including pressure vessels. This role is pivotal in driving innovation and excellence in our product offerings, particularly in the fields of cryogenic technology. The successful candidate will possess extensive experience in the design and engineering of various cryogenic system end to end including pressure vessels (storage tanks, transport vessels, vaporizers, etc.) for different types of cryogens (Nitrogen, Helium, Hydrogen, Argon, Oxygen, and LNG).

Cryogenic Pressure Vessel Engineering and Design
- Process & Mechanical design and analysis of very low temperature systems (e.g. Nitrogen, Helium, Hydrogen, Argon, Oxygen, and LNG).
- Duties involve understanding/interpretation of customer data sheet and convert them to Bill of Quantity, creating detailed drawings and collaborating with other teams to ensure designs that align with production capabilities.
- Develop technical specification for the selection of materials, components, and equipment such as valves, gauges, instruments, pumps, and compressors.
- Implement and oversee quality control measures, evaluating and addressing any design-related issues in the fabrication process.
- Thermal, structural, and failure analysis of components of cryogenic systems.
Project Management and coordination:
- Manage engineering projects from concept to completion, interfacing with cross-functional teams including planning, sales, purchasing, manufacturing, and testing.
- Ensure that all design calculations and technical specifications are performed independently and accurately, aligning with customer requirements and industry standards.
- Collaborate closely with the business development team to explore new offerings and enhance existing products.
Engineering and Design Excellence:
- Perform and guide the engineering design of cryogenic system end to end including pressure vessels, ensuring compliance with international standards like ASME, EN, IS, IBR, TEMA, ASCE, NBIC, PED, and others.
- Spearhead the technical direction for the engineering team, including CAD designers and technicians, ensuring the highest standards of design quality and accuracy.
- Stay abreast of industry trends and technological advancements, integrating these insights into design practices and product development.
- Team Development and Mentorship:
- Provide leadership and mentorship to the engineering team, fostering a culture of excellence, innovation, and teamwork.
- Encourage professional development among team members, supportive, facilitating opportunities for skill enhancement and knowledge expansion.
Required Qualifications
- B.E/B.Tech in Mechanical/Production/Chemical/Manufacturing Engineering.
- Minimum of 10+ years of experience in the design and engineering of pressure vessels, particularly in the Oil & Gas, Cryogenics, Petrochemical, Chemical, and Fabrication sectors. Hands-on working experience for end to end design of systems in these fields.
Desired Skills/Characteristics
- Strong expertise in mechanical and structural principles, thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, and heat transfer.
- Knowledge and hand-on experience of specialized vessel designing software e.g. PV-elite.
- Proficiency in CAD Software (e.g., AutoCAD/Creo/Ansys/Solidworks).
- Conversant with API 617, API 618, API 610 for Compressors and Pumps.
- Conversant about Hazardous Area classifications and protections as per IEC/NEC.
- Conversant with Hazop and FMEA methods.
- Ability to provide technical guidance and problem-solving in a collaborative environment.
