Job Description Summary
This Lead Electrical Component Engineer position is to provide the Engineering Department, as well as other departments, with technical support related to high voltage instrument transformers. Additionally, this position is responsible for maintaining and updating the product configuration system (AC1) for the production unit.
Job Description
Essential Responsibilities
- Guarantees product compliance with customer requirements and industry standards.
- Ensures that all technical documentation required for the manufacturing and sales of the products (drawings, bill of materials, instructions, manuals, material specifications etc.) is prepared in high quality, efficiently and in a timely manner.
- Performs core calculations using ACTS calculator.
- Participates in development of new products, improvement and customization of existing products.
- Update and troubleshoot product configuration system (AC1), adding new product variations and options as requested.
- Provides technical support in the resolution of field problems, working closely with Service and Marketing. Provides technical guidance to suppliers, working closely with purchasing. Supports manufacturing on a daily basis.
- Supports the sales effort in the preparation of proposals and quotations, and the review of non-standard requirements.
- Issues work requests for new assemblies required by customer specifications.
- Generates, organize and maintain Bill of Materials (BOM) and releases BOM's to production.
- Generates Engineer Change Notices.
- Participates in hand-off meeting for new contracts.
- Ensures that all changes are carried out via the Engineer Change Notice procedure.
- Reviews returned approval drawings.
- Troubleshoots electrical equipment used in production. Assists production departments with problems related to electrical design.
- Supports Marketing/Sales Department with technical information.
- Provides support to Planning, Purchasing, QA and Production Departments with technical information.
- Performs other duties as necessary or assigned.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
- Minimum of 5 Years of experience in engineering position
Desired Characteristics
- Proven leadership skills to drive projects and meet targets and deadlines
- Minimum of 4 years experience in the high voltage instrument transformers manufacturing industry.
- Knowledge of IEEE & IEC standards governing the development and testing of high voltage instrument transformers
- Strong technical background
- Ability to work and manage projects autonomously with little oversight
- Ability to work successfully in cross-functional teams
- Strong written and oral communication skills
The base pay range for this position is 88,600.00 - 118,100.00 - 147,600.00 USD Annual. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate's experience, education, and skill set. This position is also eligible for performance bonus of 10%
*The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas.
