Job Description Summary
Systems engineering - Technical Support is a cross-functional engineering discipline centered on an approach, mindset, and process related to L1/L2 Customer support.
All activities that consider the technical needs of the customers with the goal of providing a quality Response / Resolutions that meets the users needs.
The discipline that executes a robust process of design, creation, and optimization of systems, consisting of identification and quantification of system requirements, creation of alternate system design concepts, performance of design trade studies, selection and implementation of the best designs and verification that the design is properly integrated and executed for Migration / Upgradation jobs.

Accountable for the quality of own work. Subject to direct operations supervision/prescribed work instructions/systems checking. Executes within a well-defined operations framework. Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities
- Act as the single point of contact- L1/L2 support to the customer for timely and satisfactory resolution of concerns covering a wide variety of support services offered for assigned region, product, or coverage area - Responsible for knowledge of assigned region, coverage area, or product lines, their associated configuration installations, and represents the most direct access to all appropriate internal functions to support the customer • Establish and maintain contact to provide on-going technical and business support to assigned customers in designated geographic region or coverage area
- Developing in-depth knowledge of a technical discipline. Uses prior experience and acquired technical expertise to execute policy/strategy.
- Identify, develop, evaluate, introduce, and manage engineering solutions for the SAS System.
- Resolves issues using established procedures in consultation with cross functional teams including Engineering, FAT & PL.
- Collaborates with others to solve issues arising at site .
- To develops strong customer relationships and serves as the interface between customer and GE for any Technical supports/Assistances.
- Sharing ROE's to internal Teams so as future reoccurrence of the repeated issues can be avoided.
- Extending support on Engineering design for DCS part pertains to AMC, SAS Migration & upgradation projects.
- Extending Technical support for Site Engineers working in Various sites on necessary basis towards site complaints & site closure activities.
- Providing Training to site engineers for SAS System, Networking, etc.,
- Visiting Customer place for Training , site compliant discussion, providing solution on issues faced by customer.
- Developing conceptual knowledge of professional discipline. May include support roles with specialized expertise or technical knowledge in broad area.
Required Qualifications
- This role requires basic experience in the Engineering/Technology & Controls Engineering. Knowledge level is comparable to a Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college ( or a high school diploma with relevant experience).
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 6 years of experience in Job Family Group(s)/Function(s)).
Desired Characteristics
Strong oral and written communication skills. Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs.
