Role & responsibilities

Managerial (Budget / Administration / People)

  • The overall management and leadership of the GE Vernova site staff.
  • Developing a Site Safety Culture during the site execution of the project Promote & develop a collaborative culture towards seamless execution of the site works between GE Vernova (erection & Commissioning), it's sub-contractor, the customer and other contractors on site. (e.g. civil works)
  • Executing the package within the site installation budget.
  • Achieving all Commissioning milestones within the site schedule for his systems.
  • Maintaining an intensive customer relationship and a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Representation of GE Vernova to the customer and local authorities.
  • Maintaining and enhancing the professional image and reputation of GE Vernova at all times.
  • Develop technical skills of the self and team time to time.
  • Responsible to give/ share feedback of experience to H.O

Specific Functional/Technical authority (besides DoA):

  • Delegate the job to commissioning engineers as per the site requirement Is authorized to take urgent or emergency action to remedy sudden problems or discrepancies.
  • Has authority to communicate with the client and any local entity or authority in the execution of his/her tasks.
  • Is authorized to carry out appraisals and assessments of site Commissioning staff.

Measurement / Key Performance Indicators

  • System wise or package wise major milestones achieved on time.
  • Package wise site Commissioning targets are achieved.
  • Machines are performing well with desired parameters for concern package.
  • All the contractual requirements and tests are met for designated package.
  • All the punch points are closed for designated package EHS Road Map targets are achieved with zero lost time injuries or fatalities.
  • Customer satisfaction survey targets are achieved.
  • All required performance assessments are completed.
  • All the protocols/ final data/ settings communicated to HO (Commissioning head) All the feedback is furnished to HO (Commissioning head)

Qualification

  • University degree (comparable with bachelor / master) or equivalent experience.
  • 8-12 years' experience in power plant Commissioning and engineering.
  • Appropriate experience and training in general leadership and management technique.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Sound knowledge of commissioning Rockwell automation platform for Hydro power plants.
  • Leadership and social competence.
  • Extensive knowledge of power plant systems.
  • Capable to train others.
  • Motivating and well-aimed promotion of ideas and concepts
  • Self-motivated and achiever
  • Open-minded / flexible for changes and new ideas

Desired Skills

  • Knowledge of GE SCADA system for power plants
  • Trained in Commissioning of any one package and hands on experience of commissioning.
