Job Description Summary

Responsible for designing, building, delivering and maintaining software
applications & services. Responsible for software lifecycle including activities
such as requirement analysis, documentation, procedures and implementation.
Works independently and contributes to the immediate team and to other teams
across business. You will also lead design discussions for your assigned
projects/products and make design decisions in collaboration with the Lead
Architect.

Roles and Responsibilities

In this role, you will:

  • Be responsible for defining, developing, and evolving software in a fast paced and agile development environment using the latest software development technologies and infrastructure.
  • Work with Product Line Leaders (PLLs) and Subject Matter Experts (SME) to understand product requirements & vision.
  • Translate requirements / vision into prioritized list of user stories and deliver to required timelines and quality standards.
  • Work with product line leaders and SME to develop multi generation software technology plans.
  • Drive increased efficiency across the teams, eliminating duplication, leveraging product and technology reuse.
  • Support process improvements which guide the development, sustaining & support activities.
  • Work cross functionally with other business departments to align activities and deliverables.
  • Drive world-class quality in the development and support of products.
  • Ensure team receives consistent messages and has clear understanding of direction, strategy and results.
  • Engage subject matter experts in successful transfer of complex domain knowledge.
  • Apply principles of SDLC and methodologies like Lean/Agile/XP, CI, Software and Product Security, Scalability, Documentation Practices, refactoring and Testing Techniques.
  • Write code that meets standards and delivers desired functionality using the technology selected for the project.
  • Understand performance parameters and assess application performance.
  • Work on core data structures and algorithms and implement them using technology chosen.
  • Proactively share information across the team, to the right audience with the appropriate

Education Qualification

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or "STEM" Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) with minimum 3+ years of experience

Desired Characteristics

  • Master's degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering or significant progress towards same.
  • Strong knowledge of Object Oriented Design, Software Design Patterns and Java and/or Python coding principles.
  • Linux operating system knowledge
  • Experience with desktop/server side applications
  • Industrial controls background, control systems for power plants
  • Able to work under minimal supervision.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to interface with senior leadership with confidence and clarity.
  • Able to work well with global teams, including time-zone flexibility
  • Be able to work EST working hours
  • Skilled in providing oversight and mentoring team members.

For U.S. based candidates only, for purposes of complying with U.S. pay transparency requirements, the base pay range for this position is $88,800.00 - 148,000.00 USD Annual. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate's experience, education, geographic location, and skill set.
This position is also eligible for a 10% annual performance bonus. This position will stay open on the career website until at least 3/5/2025.
*The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%,120% or 130% of salary in certain areas.
