We are seeking a highly capable and proactive Incident Responder to join our cybersecurity team. This role is critical in ensuring the swift and effective response to security incidents and threats to GE Power Conversion & Storage UK Ltd's digital infrastructure. As an Incident Responder, you will work with cross-functional teams to safeguard our assets and maintain a secure digital environment.

Responsibilities:
- Act as the first line of defence in responding to security incidents and alerts.
- Conduct thorough investigations and analyses of security events to determine their scope and impact.
- Develop and implement incident response strategies and processes.
- Collaborate with DT and security teams to mitigate and resolve threats.
- Document all incidents and responses accurately for future reference and analysis.
- Assist in the continuous improvement of response procedures and protocols.
- Stay updated with the latest cyber threat intelligence and trends.
Qualifications / Requirements:
- Strong knowledge of cybersecurity principles and incident response methodologies.
- Proficiency with security tools and technologies, such as SIEM, IDS/IPS, and endpoint protection.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong oral and written communication capabilities.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple incidents simultaneously.
Experience:
- Experience in a security operations center or similar environment.
- Familiarity with threat analysis and vulnerability assessment.
- Previous experience within a regulatory environment (financial, utilities, restricted environments, defence etc.)
- Experience in handling large-scale security incidents.
