As a Field Service Electrical Engineer your key responsibilities will include: reactive maintenance, planned maintenance, fault diagnosis and delivery of time critical installation and commissioning activities. You will ensure successful completion of projects and service tasks to time and budgetary constraints.

In this role you will focus on:
- Installation and commissioning of drives (HV and LV) and PLC based automation systems on industrial sites both nationally and globally.
- Responding to customer break downs and manage/perform diagnostic and repair activities.
- Carrying out reactive and planned maintenance activities on customer sites, both nationally and globally.
- Reading and marking up equipment drawings and circuit diagrams in preparation for formal drawing office updates.
- Identifying further opportunities to increase revenue whilst conducting jobs on customer sites.
- Supporting key service contract customers, including remote support as well as travelling to customer sites to perform diagnosis and repair activities if required.
- Working to company specified procedures.
- Carrying out all mandatory company training and obtain/maintain other competence related qualifications as required.
- Providing timely and professional site reports as directed.
- Complying with UK, company and customer EHS legislations and propose improvements where required.
- Compiling risk assessments and method statements in preparation for customer site visits.
We are looking for a committed and professional individual with:
- Bachelors degree (or equivalent) in Electrical and/or Power Electronics.
- Engineering (or similar relevant discipline) Or recognized Engineering Apprenticeship, four year plus, Higher National Certificate in an Electrical Engineering discipline.
- Demonstrable understanding of electronic and electrical engineering drawings
What will make you stand out:
- Experience within mining, steel manufacturing and/or power generation disciplines.
- Experienced with PC/PLC equipment.
- Experienced with variable speed drives
- Previous field service experience
- HV/LV drive design or service background
- SCADA/automation design/service experience.
