Job Description
As the HV Automation Lead Engineer, you will take the technical lead in designing, implementing, and overseeing sophisticated automation systems for high-voltage substations, including HMI/SCADA integration, industrial networks, and switchgear controls. You will ensure compliance with technical specifications, safety standards, and contractual obligations. Your role will involve close collaboration with stakeholders, mentorship of engineering teams, and active participation in acceptance testing and commissioning phases, directly influencing project success, efficiency, and reliability of critical energy infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead technical design and implementation of HMI/SCADA systems and industrial control solutions.
- Oversee high-voltage AC switchgear controls and substation automation.
- Collaborate closely with engineering teams and contractors to meet technical specifications, schedules, and budgets.
- Mentor and guide team members, fostering strong communication and technical excellence.
- Coordinate and supervise factory/site acceptance tests (FAT/SAT) and commissioning activities.
Key Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Automation Engineering, or alternatively, in Telecommunication Engineering.
- Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience in HV Automation Engineering.
- Proven expertise with HMI/SCADA systems and industrial control system design and implementation.
- Solid understanding of electrical installations, including substation controls and SCADA/HMI.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to articulate technical concepts clearly, facilitate productive discussions, and build collaborative relationships across diverse teams.
- Fluency in English.
Nice-to-Have Qualifications:
- Familiarity with optical transmission systems.
- Knowledge of clusters, virtualization technologies, version control tools, asset management tools, and cybersecurity.
- Experience conducting FAT/SAT testing and commissioning activities.
- Previous experience managing engineering tasks in EPC or turnkey projects.
