Roles and Responsibilities

• Optimize the part & material definitions at R&D stage to make it easier to source
• Applies general knowledge of business developed through education or past experience. Understands how work of own team contributes to the area.
• Resolves issues using established procedures. Consults People Leader or more senior team members for issues outside of defined parameters.
• Collaborates with others to solve issues. For customer facing roles, develops strong customer relationships and serves as the interface between customer and GE. Exchanges technical information, asks questions and checks for understanding.
• Handles simple data entry work requiring face value check and correction.

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 6 years of experience in Sourcing and/or Commodity Management experience in high voltage experience.
• Have worked with at least 1 of these commodities for energy/high voltage equipments, such as: castings, electrical cabinets, machining, insulation, low

• Strong negotiation skills required
• Ability to travel up to 10% domestically and Internationally
• voltage electrical components
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Ability to influence others and lead small teams
• Experience managing international suppliers
• Lead initiatives of moderate scope and impact
• Ability to coordinate several projects simultaneously
• Effective problem identification and solution skills
• Proven analytical and organizational ability
• Ability to read component blueprints
• Very strong experience with Microsoft Excel
