The Global Sr. Director, Grid Services Operations plays a critical leadership role in defining and executing the vision and strategy for global service delivery. This position is responsible for driving operational excellence, implementing process standardization, and leading strategic initiatives to align global operations with organizational goals. The ideal candidate will bring deep familiarity with the service organization, systems, and key stakeholders, enabling seamless collaboration and effective leadership. The ideal candidate should also demonstrate a proven ability to drive impactful results across matrixed organizations.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operationalize the vision and strategy for global service delivery, ensuring alignment with business objectives and customer expectations, while driving operational excellence across all regions.
  • Monitor key delivery metrics, identify gaps, and recommend actionable improvements to enhance both regional and global performance. Foster a culture of continuous improvement through Lean principles, while collaborating closely with finance teams to ensure operational and financial alignment with organizational goals.
  • Develop and oversee comprehensive demand planning processes, integrating advanced analytics and forecasting tools to optimize resource allocation and labor planning. Partner with vendors to expand capabilities and ensure alignment with strategic business needs, enabling proactive management of demand fluctuations across regions.
  • Work with the BI/Reporting team on the development and enhancement of critical systems and tools for the service organization, ensuring they meet current operational needs and align with future roadmap objectives. Champion innovative solutions to improve efficiency, scalability, and adoption, while fostering collaboration with cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Lead the global rollout of standardized roles, Work Breakdown Structures (WBS), and operating procedures to enhance clarity and execution, including influencing frameworks for financial risk identification and mitigation, with significant involvement in risk management practices that have financial implications.
  • Globally Standardize and Optimize Demand & Supply management, Time management, Utilization management (including lending/borrowing), Bench management, Cash/AR management & Skills Inventory
  • Coordinate cross-functional collaboration between product, engineering, service, and finance teams to align delivery priorities and enhance visibility into operational performance. Ensure financial considerations are seamlessly integrated into strategic and operational decision-making.
  • Foster a high-performance culture through talent management initiatives, including structured development plans, mentorship programs, and leadership capacity building.
  • Facilitate training and transition plans for internal and external stakeholders to ensure seamless onboarding, knowledge transfer, and alignment with operational goals.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, project management, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in service delivery or operational leadership roles, with demonstrated expertise in regional or global operations.
  • Familiarity with professional software service organization, systems, and stakeholder network.
  • Proven track record of driving process improvements and achieving operational excellence in a matrixed organization.
  • Strong understanding of lean principles and their application in service delivery environments.

Preferred:

  • PMP certification
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, with the ability to synthesize complex issues and communicate effectively with diverse audiences.
  • Demonstrated ability to mentor and develop high-performing teams across global regions.
  • Advanced knowledge of financial processes, including project control, reporting, budgeting, and risk management frameworks.
  • Experience in leading transformation initiatives to drive continuous improvement in organizational and system performances

Additional Information

The salary range for this position is $166,400USD - $207,000USD. The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate's experience, their education, and the work location. In addition, this position is eligible for bonus.
