The Global Planning & Fulfillment Leader, Supply Chain, plays a critical role within the Aero Alliance Joint Venture. This position provides strategic leadership to a team of planning and fulfillment leaders responsible for the availability and fulfillment of different part families. The main objective is to ensure supply inputs that lead to achievable factory master schedules, facilitate effective communication between our team and suppliers, and ensure that materials are planned effectively, and supplier execution is aligned with customer needs. The role also focuses on driving continuous improvement, fostering a lean mindset, and developing robust operating rhythms to proactively address shortages and optimize the supply chain.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of planning and fulfillment leaders, driving material availability improvements by monitoring supplier capacity, implementing different planning strategies, and aligning with the company's strategic plan.
  • Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders, including the S&OP team, demand managers, factory master schedulers, asset management, strategic sourcing, purchasing, and finance teams, to manage material planning, and allocation activities. Ensure all activities are synchronized with sales and production schedules.
  • Oversee the alignment of supply inputs with factory master schedules, ensuring that materials are available at the right production site at the right time, and that execution aligns with customer demand.
  • Manage relationships with factories and fulfillment leaders to support execution, proactively addressing issues within the supply plan to ensure transparency, accountability, and alignment with the broader strategy.
  • Communicate global supply chain constraints that may lead to imbalances between supply and demand, presenting actionable alternatives for management consideration to mitigate risks.
  • Establish, maintain, and continuously improve key supply related KPIs, such as inventory levels, production schedule attainment, supplier performance, and customer service metrics, ensuring alignment with the strategic plan set by the S&OP team.
  • Develop and implement effective operating rhythms to monitor and manage key supply chain metrics, ensuring that ERP systems and related tools are consistently up-to-date and reflect the current supply plan.
  • Identify potential shortages in advance and work collaboratively with suppliers and internal teams to develop and implement solutions that prevent disruptions in the supply chain.
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement and innovation by working with LEAN teams to embed a lean mindset across order management, planning and fulfillment processes, driving productivity and efficiency gains.
  • Develop and manage effective relationships with existing suppliers of goods and services, ensuring they meet established cost, quality, and delivery targets.
  • Maintain appropriate inventory levels based on safety stock and reorder point (pull) strategies to ensure the smooth execution of the production schedule while minimizing excess inventory.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, or a related field
  • 7+ years of experience in a supply chain or operations-related field, with a focus on order management and fulfillment. Experience in aerospace or aviation manufacturing is preferred.
  • At least 5 years of Leadership experience
  • Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems with a track record of ensuring system accuracy and effectiveness in supporting supply chain operations.
  • Familiarity with materials management disciplines, including Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP), and experience aligning tactical execution with strategic planning goals.
