Generator Service Technician (Winder) - Rotating Shift

Qualifications/Requirements :

• High School Diploma / GED or Equivalent or 2 years of relevant work experience
• Minimum of 3 years of experience working in a mechanical or repair field

Eligibility Requirements:

• Must work rotating 1st and 2nd shift (7:00am-3:30pm / 3:00pm-11:30pm)
• This position is 100% onsite at GE Richmond Service Center
• Ability and willingness to work overtime, including off-hours, weekends, and holidays
• Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future
• Must successfully complete a drug screen and background check

Desired Characteristics :

• Associate's Degree / Trade School Degree
• Minimum of 2 years of experience with small to large generators, electric motors, stator and/or electrical component winding
• Minimum of 3 years of experience with assembling / disassembling end bells / retaining rings
• Minimum of 3 years of experience brazing, either by torch, carbon or induction
• Experience performing electrical testing
• Apprenticeship card from state certified apprenticeship programs

Pay Transparency:

The pay for this position is C-Level role at $20.75 - 27.00/hour for early career hires. This position is also eligible for a $2.00/hour shift differential hourly rate increase. This posting is expected to close on April 8, 2025 or thereafter.

PLEASE NOTE: This is a posting for a C Level, but based on experience, employees have the ability to be hired in at or progress to higher levels, B and A level. (B-Level Range: $27.50 - $32.75)

The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas.
