Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Work with industry leading experts to execute data-driven protocol to develop innovative materials and predict material degradation for various power generation applications.
- Collaborate with Engineers and Scientists from across the Vernova Advanced Research Center and business segments, to advance the energy transition.
Required Qualifications:
- Current enrollment in a full-time Ph.D. degree program in Materials Science, or related discipline
- Knowledge in pandas, numpy, scikit-learn, pytorch, pymatgen
- Experience with Python programing, Github
- U.S. citizenship is required due to Federal Contract Provisions.
- Must be willing to work out of an office located in Niskayuna, NY
Desired Characteristics:
- Experience with high throughput experiments/computations and/or automatous lab.
- Strong dedication to a career in technology and passion for supporting and leading the energy transition.
The pay range for this position is $1,000-$2,000 USD weekly. The specific weekly rate offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate's experience, their education, and the work location.
GE Vernova provides travel reimbursement and a housing stipend for qualified interns.
This role requires access to U.S. export-controlled information. If applicable, final offers will be contingent on ability to obtain authorization for access to U.S. export-controlled information from the U.S. Government.
