Job Description Summary

Responsible of the operational performance of Grid Automation for the execution phase (OTR) for projects and associated services including good quality and customer satisfaction in full compliance with EHS and GE Values.
Lead the overall operations of the different departments Projects / Engineering and ensure Proper execution of the customer orders in full satisfaction to the end clients.
Lead the operational execution of his portfolio within his cluster and participate to the operational governance (quarterly, monthly) ensuring business priorities are met (Sales, Margin, Invoicing, Cash, Inventories, BC, ...). And facilitate the operations leader for preparing the Business Plans of future.

Job Description

Essential Responsibilities

  • Lead and monitor project execution including it's associated services in the cluster driving profitable growth, margin expansion, cost optimization, ensuring commitment to customer satisfaction, risks mitigation & opportunities development.
  • As part of the GA India Operation organization, facilitate in structuring the operations in line with the new PL delivery model and footprint.
  • Connect, establish and lead a single cross regional team, highly effective and focused on a common goal.
  • Ensure OP plans and KPI targets are met within its perimeter.
  • Organize the involvement of Cluster team in the validation of the offers in co-ordination with the central engineering team of the region (as per Tendering instruction) and provide regular return of experience after execution of the project.
  • Take lead role in follow up of ITO activities in the designated territory, liaising with commercial, technical tendering, key accounts and customers, channels and to be a SPOC for the customer.
  • Lead the root cause analysis (RCA) and 8D analysis of the PMR impacted projects and drive the recovery and/or improvement action plan.
  • Facilitate preparation of yearly budget and the quarterly forecast along with GA India Operations Leader in interface with the ITO team of the region.
  • Support the operational governance across activities (GPREV, Cash-call, Pacing-call, Regional Review ...)
  • Ensure proper development of the skill sets and capability building within the team to handle the expertise required by the business on a continuous basis.
  • Hold teams accountable for their commitments, removing roadblocks to their work, leveraging organizational resources to improve capacity, and mentoring and developing team members.
  • Manage skills and own development plan of his team.
  • Support the deployment of world-class processes and practices, methods and harmonized tools for project management and engineering provided by the Global Operations.
  • Lead the change management required to enhance efficiency on all teams and derive margin improvement actions constantly and aligning with business strategy.
  • Engineering teams in clusters in co-ordination with the region engineering team will drive actions towards developing optimized design for customers and facilitate improvement in win rate of order in your cluster in co-ordination with ITO teams.
  • Support Business Growth in the cluster along with ITO teams aligning with GA strategy.
  • Be responsible for building strong long-term relationships with customers within the Cluster region.Develop a network of customer contacts.
  • Promote a safe working environment and ensure compliance with applicable EHS policies and procedures, Quality and Integrity.
  • Lead and cultivate a culture of GE Values and integrity.
  • Lead efforts to ensure execution excellence for any customer order.

Qualifications / Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an accredited university or college.
  • Experience above 10 years in leading projects and multi-cultural teams.
  • Proven ability leading remote team members creating a single, coordinated and high-effective team.
  • Strong business acumen with successful management experience and discipline in managing the day to day business, Autonomous and strong resilience.
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills that build a connection to the cross functional teams through personal involvement, inclusivity, and trust.
  • Proven ability to influence and drive change through exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated strong communication skills
  • Ability to drive constant improvement in process, and ability to achieve organizational goals.
  • Expertise required in: project management, customer relationships, team management and development.
  • Successful projects management experience in substation automation & protection of electrical substations or industrial systems.
  • Ability to interface with technical experts when required (engineering, expertise).
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems.
  • Ability to document, plan, and execute programs.
