Job Description Summary
As a member of the Gas Power Engineering finance team, you will provide finance leadership and oversight to support the strategic initiatives of Global Design Centers in Poland, Mexico, Performance Testing, and rest of the Pmx locations globally, managing a portfolio of approximately $600 million cost and support operations of 4,000 Engineering + contractors. In this leadership role, you will:
• Serve as a strategic partner to 4 Engineering Executive GMs globally & their operations team. Mexico Eng GM, Poland Eng GM, Performance Testing GM and Swiss GM, along with their operations to ensure execution is in line with customer and company expectations, drive sustainable productivity, and manage opportunities & risks effectively.

• This role will also be instrumental to support integration and catch incremental work as Steam Power Services Eng team integrates into Gas Power Engineering in 2025 & 2026 (+~500 FTEs and +$50M cost) + support to SPS executive GM.
• This person will not only focus on daily management, but also lead and exemplify continuous improvement, and transformative initiatives.
Job Description
- with the Gas Power Engineering Finance leader, Gas Power Engineering leadership, and Engineering operations team & HR, thereby facilitating timely decision-making and optimizing both short-term and long-term financial performance.
- Serves as the strategic business partner to the Engineering Executive GMs globally (Poland, Mexico, Perf Test, Swiss) & their operations team. Your focus will be to drive sustainable productivity (cost, liquidation) while identifying potential operational risks and opportunities within the portfolio to deliver better than planned performance, engaging with business partners to escalate as required.
- Lead the development and implementation of operating plans with the business teams to drive clarity, facilitate decision making with speed, growth, and margin improvement.
- Partner with Pmx ERP finance teams, maintain Pmx ERP knowledge and contemporize standard work through best practice sharing across the finance and operations team
- Support transformation projects: Mytime to other ERP automation, Engineering ITR tool (BEAM), Tollgate projects / NDA projects.
- Partner with Gas Power Engineering Finance leader & HQ FP&A to own the financial submissions for all planning cycles, pacing, and monthly operating rhythms. Lead pacing and forecasting updates with the business teams.
- Prepare and support presentations required to communicate the Global Design Center financial position and progress towards strategic, operational, and financial objectives to various stakeholders.
- Drive LEAN activities within the function and support business transformation initiatives. Partner across the finance community and with other functions to support the implementation of strategic priorities, linking to operational value streams, and facilitating simplification.
- Utilize business analytics to drive continuous improvement and inform the segment team of potential optimization opportunities.
- Ensure adherence to monthly closing activities, aligning results with business expectations while proactively identifying potential risk areas.
- Maintain systems and processes for analyzing and reporting operating results to management, collaborating with IT to drive system automation and optimize processes as needed.
- Lead the pursuit of excellence in controllership (spirit & letter, adherence to GEV policies, regulatory compliance, audit support, transfer of best practices, internal controls, etc.).
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or Economics from an accredited university or college, or related discipline.
- 7+ years of relevant Accounting or Finance, experience within the power generation or relevant industry.
- Strong technical finance acumen, including in-depth knowledge of US GAAP accounting, controllership principles, financial reporting, and analysis
- Experience in cost management and Financial Planning & Analysis with practical experience in operational partnership.
- Proven ability to lead and influence dispersed teams, providing clear direction, actively communicating and ensuring consistent performance
- Proven ability to drive change, including tactical planning, change management, coordination across the organization
- Proficient with excel, PPT is a must.
- Prior experiences with ERP SAP and consolidation tool HFM/Hyperion is preferred.
