Job Description Summary

The FACTS Product Management Leader will ensure that the FACTS product portfolio aligns with business goals, meets customer needs, and maintains competitiveness in the market. Working closely with the GSI CTO and FACTS NPI Leader, the FACTS Product Manager will be responsible for the strategic planning and management of the FACTS product portfolio, including defining the product strategy, vision, and roadmap to meet market needs. The role includes conducting market research to gather customer insights and perform competitive analysis, identifying key differentiators for GE Vernova products. These insights are used to define high-level requirements for new products. The role requires collaboration with cross-functional teams such as engineering, design, and marketing to prioritize feature development. Additionally, the responsibilities include planning and executing product launches, as well as monitoring product performance to make data-driven decisions for continuous improvement.

• Product - Complete medium and long-range product plans, investigate new generations of FACTS products, understand new market and potential, work to build commercial relationship with partners.
• Price - investigate different methods for selling, Update market focused pricing, investigate market pricing influencers, understand disrupter value propositions.
• Promotion - Produce Brochures, Internal Training, External Training, Publish Papers, Professional Society activity and presentations, Standard customer presentations, GSI Regional Education (seminars/share point), Generate FACTS presentation and post/promote.
• Place - define how GE Vernova sells FACTS, monitor market and Universities for breakthrough/disruptive technology, drive use of on-line tools to better promote GE Vernova FACTS products (AppDash). Coordinate with marketing & sales for customer education opportunities.
• Market - Understand the market FACTS is selling into, generate ideas how to develop existing and new markets, understand competition, understand market changes including regulatory climate, government investments, & changing customer initiatives, Create competition analysis - marketing answers to customer and competitor developments.

Essential Responsibilities:

These responsibilities ensure that the existing and new products align with business goals, meets customer needs, and maintains competitiveness in the market.

  • Defining Product Strategy and Vision: Establish and communicate a clear product strategy and vision that aligns with business goals and market needs.
  • Market Research and Analysis: Conduct market research, gather customer feedback, and analyse industry trends to identify opportunities and understand customer needs.
  • Product Roadmap Development: Develop and maintain a roadmap for new and existing products that outlines the timeline, key milestones, and features for FACTS solutions, driving decisions on the NPI Investment.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams (engineering, sales, marketing, and operations) to ensure alignment on product goals and requirements.
  • Product Requirements Definition: Define and document detailed product and service requirements based on market research and customer insights.
  • Competitive Analysis: Monitor and analyse competitor products and industry developments to ensure the product remains competitive and innovative.
  • Product Lifecycle Management: Oversee the full lifecycle of the product, from concept to development, launch, and ongoing improvements.
  • Product Launches: Plan and execute successful product launches, ensuring smooth coordination between teams and strong market introduction.
  • Performance Monitoring and Metrics: Track and analyse product performance metrics to evaluate product success and identify areas for improvement.
  • Customer and Market Engagement: Engage with customers and key stakeholders to gather feedback, address concerns, and ensure the product continuously meets market demands.

Required Qualifications:

  • Educational Background: A bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, power systems, or a related technical field. An MBA or advanced degree is often preferred for a broader business perspective.
  • Experience in the Power Systems Industry: Several years of experience in the power systems or energy sector, specifically with FACTS technologies or similar electrical transmission systems.
  • Product Management Experience: Proven experience in product management, preferably in a technical or industrial product environment, including managing the entire product lifecycle.

The salary range for this position is 152,400.00 - 203,200.00 - 254,000.00 USD Annual. The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate's experience, their education, and the work location. In addition, this position is eligible for a performance bonus Total Base Pay Range 152,400.00 - 203,200.00 - 254,000.00 USD Annual.
