Job Description Summary

As a Fabricator, you will play a crucial role in the manufacturing process by fabricating pipe assemblies, complete unit piping systems, and complex combustion components. This position requires expertise in working with high alloy materials and demands a commitment to working collaboratively as part of a manufacturing team.

Job Description

Duties

  • Make up pipe fabrications and total unit piping systems and complex unit components by fit-ups and assembling pipe and related components applying all types of welding equipment and processes for which the fabricator is certified to weld on or off the gas turbine unit in all positions.
  • Fabricate complex combustion components such as transition pieces and other related hardware to meet specified drawing demands.
  • A working knowledge of high alloy materials.
  • Perform all duties as part of a manufacturing team.
  • Perform other related duties and/or perform a lesser skilled job class.
  • The employee is expected to be at their assigned workstation, ready to work, at their assigned starting time.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited welding program
  • -Or-
  • Minimum of two years industrial/construction or similar commercial welding experience
  • -And-
  • Must be proficient in Tig welding
  • -And-
  • Must successfully pass required weld testing and certify in the following: GTAW (Tig)
  • -And-
  • Must successfully pass a manufacturing assessment
  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
  • 18 years of age or older
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required; we will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job
  • Successful completion of a background check and drug screen
  • Willingness to work in a tobacco-free environment
  • Ability and willingness to stand for long periods of time, up to 8 hours or 100% of a shift (with the exception of breaks), with or without reasonable accommodation
  • Ability to work overtime, with or without reasonable accommodation
  • Ability to work occasional weekend shifts, with or without reasonable accommodation
  • Ability to work 2nd shift (3PM - 11 PM) or 3rd shift (11PM - 7AM) with or without reasonable accommodation
  • Willingness to wear personal protective equipment, for example: safety glasses, gloves, hats, ear plugs and safety shoes, with or without reasonable accommodation

Fabricator A:

Pay Rate: The pay for this position is $32.157 - 33.371. This position is also eligible for shift premium when you work on an off shift i.e. 2nd or 3rd shift. Plus $1.00 USD an hour on top of base pay. This posting is expected to close on October 28 18th, 2024.
