Job Description Summary

This role is responsible to execute & analyse, design, test, or support integration required to define and support systems that meet business standards and program / product requirements.

Job Description

General responsibilities:

  • Responsible for Solar /BESS design at OTR & ITO Project.
  • Align with Lead Engineer / Internal Stake holder to define the capacity of the Plant, Prepare SLD & quantify the EBOP items.
  • Communicate with Sales Team to define FRSU/RSU based on the kmz file.
  • Capable of Optimising design to limit Voltage/Power loss.
  • Shall experience on Roof Top/Ground Mounted Project more than 100MW (Domestic & International)
  • Exposure to Fixed Tilt, Single/Dual Axis Tracker Ground Mounted Project
  • Capable of Modelling the Layout in AutoCAD with minimum Input details
  • Basic Understanding of Substation design and model the Layout Work.
  • Prepare and present technical data to internal customers.
  • Document and communicate results of technical data generated.
  • Participate on teams assigned to address specific organizational initiatives.
  • Share engineering information and promote open dialogue.
  • Assure proper documentation of technical data generated for the assigned projects and/or tasks consistent with engineering policies and procedures.

Specific Role Requirements:

  • Preparation of basic PV Plant, AC &DC Single Line Diagram, Array grouping, Cable Routing and Trench Layout Plan & Section, Earthing & Lighting Protection Layout.
  • Shall be capable of defining the rating of String, Configuration, Fuse selection, Communication Routing, Weather Station Layout etc.
  • Understand Shading concept, capable of Pvsyst simulation.
  • Shall be capable to Provide Input to Tracker Manufacturer & Improvise the design based on optimise requirement.
  • Modelling of Control Room Building, Trench, Substation Layout (Indoor & Outdoor)
  • Hands on experience of PVSyst, Google Sketch up, Autocad
  • Flexible and quick to learn global developments in renewable technologies and adopt.
  • Preparation and presentation of technical data and results generated to internal and external customers.
  • Participation in teams assigned to address specific organizational initiatives.
  • Share engineering information and promote open dialogue.
  • Prepare invention disclosures to protect the technology that provides a competitive advantage to the business.
  • Ensure proper documentation of technical data generated for the assigned projects and/or tasks consistent with engineering policies and procedures.

Required qualifications and skills

  • Bachelor's Degree or Diploma, from an accredited college or university with a minimum 4+ years of experience on Renewable Hybrid Project engineering at scale of >100MW.
  • Basic working experience with 3D Design Tools (Preferable), ACC.

Essential Pre-Requisites and Deliverables:

  • Ability to work on standard IT Tools for everyday deliverables to the level of competency expected out of the role.
  • Exhibit Ownership, Process oriented & ability to adapt as per the dynamics.
