Job Description Summary

The Electrification Market Forecasting Specialist will support the development of the Global Electrification Outlook, a new forecasting process for GE Vernova. The selected candidate will help to execute this exciting new initiative while performing market analysis & research to improve visibility into market trends and disruptions affecting sales, services, and replacement of grid infrastructure.

Job Description

  • Roles & Responsibilities
  • Influence the vision, strategy, and multi-year development plan for GE Vernova's new Global Electrification Outlook.
  • Collect, analyze and share comprehensive regional and global electrification market data affecting the forecast for grid infrastructure.
  • Build and maintain complex models for use in developing and sharing the output from GE Vernova's Global Electrification Outlook and aligning with the Global Power outlook for power generation.
  • Evaluate and synthesize third-party reports on global power grids and industry trends affecting the procurement of grid equipment.
  • On an as-needed basis, provide targeted grid-related market research and analytics to help establish strategy for potential investments and their associated returns.
  • Maintain an awareness of and evaluate potential market disruptions and emerging opportunities across the power sector.
  • Perform assessments of specific regional energy and climate policies & incentives affecting the market outlook for grid equipment.
  • Provide feedback to improve forecasting methodologies to maximize impact and more effectively serve the broader GEV business.
  • Leverage an independent and resourceful mindset to create customized analyses and responses to grid-related inquiries received by the Market Outlook and Forecasting team.
  • Present regional & global market dynamics to top leadership across the business and externally with customers, analysts, and media as needed.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or Economics from an accredited university or college
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in in the Grid Transmission & Distribution Industry
