Job Description Summary

This is a 2nd Shift Position

Activities contributing to the design and development of products, solutions and systems. Includes activities linked to technical improvement of existing products and components ( circuits & controls) Impacts quality of own work and the work of others on the team. Executes standard operational/technical tasks typically subject to instructions and work routines. There is latitude to rearrange the sequence to complete task/duties based on changing work situations.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Support production staff during second shift and weekend hours to address technical questions, modify drawings/ BOMs as necessary, and ensure production has all necessary information to operate as planned.

• Develop and design low voltage control systems for SF6 insulated circuit breakers, ensuring compliance with industry standards and customer requirements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers, electrical engineers, and mechanical designers, to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Provide technical expertise and guidance in the selection of components, such as relays, sensors, and controllers, to optimize system performance.
• Conduct feasibility studies and technical assessments to identify potential improvements or modifications to existing control systems.
• Guide a drafting team, mentoring their work to produce mechanical outline drawings and documentation for the final product.
• Collaborate with technical and non-technical team members at remote factories to ensure job success.
• Offer technical support to internal and external stakeholders, including customers and field service teams, to address inquiries and troubleshoot issues.
• Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations while designing and implementing control systems.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of 3 year of relevant experience related to bills of materials, manufacturing, electrical engineering, and product design

Desired Characteristics

  • Good understanding of product configurations, R&D Engineering, Planning, Sales, Contract engineering, and Manufacturing.
  • High voltage and Dead tank circuit breaker knowledge
  • Minimum of 3 year in ECAD software and AutoCAD
  • 1 year experience with SAP or other ERP system
  • Strong Microsoft Excel experience
  • Experience in project management, planning, activity follow-up.
  • Experience in MS Office software including MS Excel and MS PowerPoint.
  • Experience working cooperatively and effectively in a team environment.
